Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara motivasi lingkungan dengan partisipasi masyarakat dalam program sedekah sampah di RW 016, Kelurahan Semper Barat, Kecamatan Cilincing, Jakarta Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 96 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive random sampling, yaitu warga yang aktif mengikuti program sedekah sampah. Hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan persamaan regresi Ŷ = 20,56 + 0,78X, yang menunjukkan bahwa setiap peningkatan satu satuan motivasi lingkungan akan meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat sebesar 0,78 satuan. Diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (r hitung) sebesar 0,841, yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai tersebut lebih besar daripada (r tabel) sebesar 0,256, sehingga adanya hubungan antara kedua variabel. Selanjutnya, nilai (t hitung) sebesar 16,05 yang lebih besar dibandingkan (t tabel) sebesar 1,985 pada taraf signifikansi 5%, membuktikan bahwa hubungan tersebut signifikan secara statistik, artinya motivasi lingkungan memang berhubungan nyata dengan partisipasi masyarakat. Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 70,7% mengindikasikan bahwa variasi partisipasi masyarakat dapat dijelaskan oleh motivasi lingkungan, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 29,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan motivasi lingkungan merupakan strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan partisipasi dan keberlanjutan program pengelolaan sampah berbasis komunitas. ***** This study aims to examine the relationship between environmental motivation and community participation in the waste alms program in RW 016, Semper Barat Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of 96 respondents selected through purposive random sampling technique, namely residents who actively participate in the waste alms program. The results of a simple linear regression analysis yielded the regression equation Ŷ = 20.56 + 0.78X, indicating that every one-unit increase in environmental motivation increases community participation by 0.78 units. The correlation coefficient (r count) was 0.841, which is greater than the (r table) of 0.256, indicating a relationship between the two variables. Furthermore, the (t-value) of 16.05, which is significantly greater than the (t-table) of 1.985 at the 5% significance level, proves that the relationship is statistically significant, indicating that environmental motivation is indeed significantly related to community participation. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 70.7% indicates that variation in community participation can be explained by environmental motivation, while the remaining 29.3% is influenced by other factors outside the study.
