Abstract

Materi pembelajaran biologi terdapat beberapa materi yang tidak bisa diamati secara langsung oleh peserta didik, sehingga peserta didik kesulitan dalam memahami konsep-konsep materi salah satunya sistem reproduksi manusia. Materi ini memerlukan pemahaman konseptual yang kuat dan strategi pembelajaran yang mampu memfasilitasi pengolahan informasi secara aktif dan visual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Script berbantuan Mind Mapping terhadap penguasaan konsep sistem reproduksi manusia pada peserta didik kelas XI SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan multi-stage random sampling yang terdiri atas dua tahap. Tahap pertama dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling untuk memilih dua kelas dari tiga kelas Biologi yang tersedia di kelas XI. Tahap kedua menggunakan simple random sampling untuk memilih masing-masing 30 peserta didik dari dua kelas terpilih sebagai sampel penelitian. Dengan demikian, sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model Cooperative Script berbantuan Mind Mapping, dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model Group Investigation berbantuan infografis. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes pilihan ganda dua tingkat (two-tier multiple choice) yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji t independen menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan kelas kontrol (t = 2,941; sig. = 0,005). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Script berbantuan Mind Mapping berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep peserta didik. Model pembelajaran ini efektif karena menggabungkan unsur diskusi kolaboratif dan representasi visual yang mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual dalam materi sistem reproduksi manusia kelas XI SMA. /***** Biology learning materials include several topics that cannot be directly observed by students, making it difficult for them to understand the underlying concepts—one of which is the human reproductive system. This topic requires a strong conceptual understanding and a learning strategy that can actively and visually facilitate information processing. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Cooperative Script learning model assisted by Mind Mapping on students’ conceptual understanding of the human reproductive system in Grade XI of senior high school. The method used in this research was quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach, employing a Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group design. The sampling technique used was multi-stage random sampling consisting of two stages. The first stage involved cluster random sampling to select two classes out of three Grade XI biology classes. The second stage used simple random sampling to select 30 students from each of the selected classes, resulting in a total sample of 60 students. The sample consisted of two randomly assigned classes: an experimental class that applied the Cooperative Script model assisted by Mind Mapping, and a control class that used the Group Investigation model supported by infographics. The data collection instrument was a two-tier multiple-choice test that had been tested for both validity and reliability. The results of the independent t-test analysis showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control class (t = 2.941; sig. = 0.005). These findings indicate that the implementation of the Cooperative Script model assisted by Mind Mapping had a significant positive effect on students’ conceptual mastery. This learning model is effective because it combines collaborative discussion and visual representation, which enhance conceptual understanding in the topic of the human reproductive system for Grade XI students.
