Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sebagai salah satu tujuan SDGs dapat diwujudkan dengan membekali peserta didik keterampilan abad ke-21, salah satunya keterampilan berpikir kritis. Namun, keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih rendah. Keterampilan ini dapat ditanamkan dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu, termasuk biologi yang mengharuskan peserta didik untuk menemukan fakta, memecahkan masalah, dan memahami konsep materi biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL dengan pendekatan CTL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi sistem reproduksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 16 Jakarta pada bulan Mei 2025. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest group. Subjek penelitian ialah kelas XI-C dan XI-D yang ditentukan dengan purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 62 peserta didik dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 31 peserta didik yang dipilih secara acak. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji N-Gain, dan uji independent t-test. Berdasarkan hasil uji independent t-test pada α = 0,05 diperoleh signifikansi sebesar 0,002. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model PBL dengan pendekatan CTL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi sistem reproduksi. Seluruh sintaks model PBL dengan pendekatan CTL memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk mengasah keterampilan berpikir kritisnya melalui kegiatan pemberian stimulus, berdiskusi, presentasi, dan memberikan tanggapan. ***** The improvement of the quality of education as one of the goals of SDGs can be realized by providing students with 21st-century skills, one of which is critical thinking skills. However, student's critical thinking skills are still low. These skills can be implemented in a variety of disciplines, including biology that requires students to discover facts, solve problems, and understand the concepts of biological material. This study aims to determine the effect of the PBL model with CTL's approach to student's critical thinking skills on reproductive system material. This research was conducted at SMAN 16 Jakarta in May 2025. The method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest group design. The subjects of the study were class XI-C and XI-D determined by purposive sampling. The sample used was 62 students with 31 randomly selected classes each. The data obtained are analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, N-Gain tests, and independent t-test tests. Based on the results of the independent t-test test at α = 0.05 a significance of 0.002 is obtained. It can be concluded that there is an effect of applying the PBL model with the CTL approach to student's critical thinking skills on reproductive system material. All syntax of the PBL model with the CTL approach can facilitate learners to hone their critical thinking skills through stimulus-giving activities, discussions, presentations, and giving responses.
