Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola asuh orang tua tunggal, pola asuh orang tua utuh, dan kendala dalam mendidik anak di wilayah RW 07 Kelurahan Penggilingan sesuai dengan fokus masalah yang peneliti bahas yaitu pengertian pola asuh, jenis-jenis pola asuh, dan kendala untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang dilakukan orang tua tunggal dan orang tua utuh dalam mendidik anak di wilayah RW 07 Kelurahan Penggilingan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, di mana temuan-temuan yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis serta disimpulkan. Penelitian ini mengguakan teknik analisis data yaitu pengumpulan data (data colection), reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data disply), dan verifikasi data (verification). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh yang digunakan orang tua tunggal dalam mendidik anak di wilayah RW 07 Kelurahan Penggilingan pola asuh permisif. Sedangkan orang tua utuh menggunakan pola asuh otoriter dan pola asuh demokratis. Kendala yang dihadapi orang tua tunggal dan orang tua utuh dalam mendidik anak bermacam-macam yaitu komunikasi, perceraian, lingkungan dan waktu. ***** This study aims to examine the parenting patterns of single parents, two-parent families, and the challenges they face in raising children in RW 07, Penggilingan Sub-District, East Jakarta. The research focuses on the understanding of parenting patterns, the types of parenting styles, and the obstacles encountered, in order to identify the differences between single parents and two-parent families in educating their children in this area. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach, in which the findings obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation are then analyzed and concluded. The data analysis techniques used in this study included data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of the study show that the parenting style used by single parents in RW 07, Penggilingan Sub-District, tends to be permissive. Meanwhile, two-parent families tend to apply authoritarian and democratic parenting styles. The challenges faced by both single parents and two-parent families in raising children vary, including issues of communication, divorce, environment, and time constraints.
