Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 8 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan posttest only control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII E sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Negeri 8 Jakarta. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra pada proses pembelajaran sedangkan kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan berupa penerapan model pembelajaran konvensional yang biasa diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diukur menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa lima soal uraian pada materi bangun ruang yang telah valid dan reliabel. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, didapat bahwa nilai t_hitung=3,81 dan t_((0,05;70))=1,67 sehingga t_hitung≥t_tabel. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t maka sudah cukup bukti untuk tolak H_0 yang berarti rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding siswa kelas kontrol. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Nilai besar pengaruh dengan dihitung dengan Cohen’s effect size yaitu sebesar 0,9 yang termasuk pada kategori besar dengan persentase 82%. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw, GeoGebra, kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, bangun ruang. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type jigsaw assisted by GeoGebra on students’ mathematical concepts understanding ability at SMP Negeri 8 Jakarta. This research using quasi-experiment method with posttest only control group design. The sampling technique used by this study was cluster random sampling. The research samples were students of VII C as experimental class and VII E as control class at SMP Negeri 8 Jakarta. The experimental class received treatment through the application of the cooperative learning model type jigsaw assisted by GeoGebra in the learning process, while the control class was taught using conventional learning models commonly applied in the classroom. Students' mathematical conceptual understanding abilities were measured using a research instrument consisting of five essay questions on the topic of 3D geometry, which had been validated and proven reliable. The results of hypothesis testing using t-test with a significance level of 5%, showed that the value of t_value=3,81 and t_((0,05;70))=1,67 so t_value≥t_table. Based on the result of t-test there is sufficient evidence to reject H_0 which indicating that the average mathematical conceptual understanding ability of students in the experimental class is higher than students in the control class. These results show that the application of the cooperative learning model of the jigsaw type assisted by GeoGebra has an effect on students' mathematical conceptual understanding abilities. The magnitude of the effect, calculated using Cohen's effect size, was 0,9, which falls into the large category, with an effect percentage of 82%.
