Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun prototipe sistem parkir pintar berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Mega 2560 dan ESP32-CAM. Arduino Mega 2560 digunakan sebagai pengontrol utama yang mengendalikan berbagai komponen seperti servo untuk pembuka palang parkir, tampilan informasi data terkait parkir untuk operator, serta DFPlayer untuk notifikasi suara. Sementara itu, ESP32-CAM berfungsi untuk menangkap gambar pelat nomor kendaraan. Gambar yang diperoleh selanjutnya diunggah secara otomatis ke Google Drive. Setelah itu, program berbasis Python mengunduh gambar tersebut dari Google Drive untuk kemudian dilakukan proses ekstraksi teks menggunakan metode Optical Character Recognition (OCR) dengan bantuan pustaka EasyOCR. Data hasil pengenalan pelat nomor tersebut kemudian disimpan di server berbasis Firebase guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan keamanan sistem parkir. Dengan adanya sistem ini, proses masuk dan keluar parkir dapat dipermudah, serta keamanan parkir lebih terjaga melalui pemantauan operator secara realtime. Diharapkan sistem ini dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam menciptakan lingkungan parkir yang lebih aman, teratur, dan efisien. ***** This research aims to design and build a prototype of smart parking system based on Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller and ESP32-CAM. Arduino Mega 2560 is used as the main controller that controls various components such as servo for opening the parking bar, displaying parking-related data information for operators, and DFPlayer for voice notifications. Meanwhile, the ESP32-CAM serves to capture images of vehicle license plates. The images obtained are then automatically uploaded to Google Drive. After that, a Python-based program downloads the image from Google Drive to then carry out the text extraction process using the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) method with the help of the EasyOCR library. The license plate recognition data is then stored on a Firebase-based server to improve the efficiency and security of the parking system. With this system, the process of entering and leaving the parking lot can be facilitated, and parking security is better maintained through real-time operator monitoring. It is hoped that this system can contribute to creating a safer, more organized, and efficient parking environment.
