Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh usia dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan yang terdaftar pada Sektor Kesehatan Bursa Efek Indonesia. Variabel bebas yang digunakan adalah usia perusahaan dengan proksi jumlah tahun sejak berdirinya perusahaan hingga tahun observasi, dan variabel ukuran perusahaan diproksikan oleh jumlah total aset, variabel terikat yang digunakan adalah nilai perusahaan dengan proksi nilai rasio Tobin Q. Pemilihan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling menghasilkan 17 perusahaan sesuai kriteria dan 68 unit observasi. Data penelitian adalah data sekunder yang didapat dari laporan tahunan masing masing perusahaan, uji analisis yang dipakai adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan perangkat olah data SPSS ver. 27. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa usia perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, sedangkan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penelitian ini mendukung pernyataan teori signalling dan keagenan, dimana usia perusahaan mengirim sinyal kepada calon investor mengenai seberapa kompeten perusahaan dan manajemen dalam menjalankan bisnis dengan jam kerja yang panjang, sedangkan ukuran perusahaan yang besar mendorong adanya conflict of interest antara manajemen dengan pemegang saham, yang mendukung teori keagenan. Kata Kunci: Nilai perusahaan, usia perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan, Tobin Q. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of firm age and firm size on the value of companies listed in the Healthcare Sector of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The independent variable used is company age, proxied by the number of years since the company was founded until the year of observation, and company size, proxied by total assets. The dependent variable used is company value, proxied by the Tobin Q ratio. Purposive sampling resulted in 17 companies meeting the criteria and 68 observation units. The research data is secondary data obtained from each company's annual report. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis using data processing software SPSS ver. 27. The results show that company age has a positive and significant effect on firm value, while company size has a positive but insignificant effect on firm value. Based on these results, this study supports the assertions of signaling and agency theory, where company age sends a signal to potential investors regarding the company and management's competence in running a business with long working hours. Meanwhile, large company size encourages a conflict of interest between management and shareholders, supporting agency theory. Keywords: Firm value, firm age, firm size, Tobin's Q.
