Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi secara formatif media audio-visual dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) materi ekosistem pada peserta didik kelas V SDN Karangraharja 02. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui empat tahapan, yaitu expert review, one-to-one, small group, dan field test. Pada tahap expert review, media memperoleh kategori baik dengan skor 61,25% dari ahli media dan 76% dari ahli materi, disertai sejumlah masukan untuk pengembangan. Tahap one-to-one menunjukkan respons sangat positif dari peserta didik dengan karakteristik kemampuan yang berbeda. Pada tahap small group, peserta didik mayoritas memberikan tanggapan positif, meskipun ditemukan kekurangan pada kejernihan suara. Observasi menunjukkan partisipasi aktif dari sebagian besar kelompok. Tahap field test menunjukkan bahwa media dinilai menarik dan membantu pemahaman, dengan skor angket mencapai 270 dari 300, serta skor observasi 71,42%. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata, meskipun nilai n-gain termasuk kategori rendah. Secara keseluruhan, media audio-visual dinilai berpotensi membantu proses pembelajaran IPAS, khususnya dalam menyampaikan materi abstrak seperti ekosistem. Namun, diperlukan peningkatan kualitas teknis media agar lebih optimal dalam mendukung keterlibatan dan pemahaman peserta didik. Kata Kunci: IPAS, Media Audio-Visual, Media Pembelajaran, Penelitian Evaluasi, Sekolah Dasar. ***** ABSTRACT This study aims to conduct a formative evaluation of an audio-visual learning media used in teaching Science and Social Studies (IPAS) on the topic of ecosystems for fifth-grade students at SDN Karangraharja 02. The evaluation was carried out through four stages: expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test. In the expert review stage, the media received a “good” category rating, with scores of 61.25% from the media expert and 76% from the subject matter expert, along with several suggestions for improvement. In the one-to-one stage, students with high, moderate, and low abilities responded positively, showing interest and comprehension. The small group stage showed mostly positive feedback, although some students noted unclear audio. Observations revealed active engagement from most groups In the field test, 30 students participated in a full-class implementation. Most agreed that the media helped their understanding and increased their learning motivation. The questionnaire score reached 270 out of 300, and the observation score was 71.42%. The average pre-test score of 51.8% increased to 64.8% in the post-test, with an average n-gain of 0.27, categorized as low. Overall, the media has potential to support IPAS learning, especially for abstract content like ecosystems, though improvements in audio and visual quality are still needed.
