Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui antara kemandirian belajar dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN Menteng Dalam 07 menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen tes dan non tes. Instrumen tes yang digunakan berupa uraian soal untuk mengukur variabel kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika dan istrumen non tes berupa angket untuk mengukur variabel kemandirian belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,712 dinyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh variabel kemandirian belajar terhadap variabel kemampuan berpikir kritis mateatika sebesar 50,7% dan sisanya sebesar 49,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya penanaman kemandirian belajar kepada peserta didik guna menunjang meningkatnya kemampuan berpikir kritis pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar. ***** This study aims to determine the relationship between learning independence and critical thinking ability in mathematics among fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The sample consisted of fifth-grade students at SDN Menteng Dalam 07, selected using cluster random sampling. Data collected was conducted through both test and non-test instruments. The test instrument consisted of easy questions to measure the variable of' critical thinking ability in mathematics, while the non test instrument was a questionnaire to measure the variable of learning independence. The data analysis technique used was Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. The results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.712, indicating that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning independence and critical thinking ability in mathematics. The effective contribution of learning independence to critical thinking ability was 50,7%, with the remaining 49,3% influenced by other factors. These results emphasize the importance of cultivating learning independence in students to support the development of critical thinking skills in mathematics learning at elementary school.
