Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis manajemen pendidikan multikultural di SMPN 49 Jakarta. Fokus penelitian mencakup lima subfokus, yaitu: (1) perencanaan pendidikan multikultural, (2) pengorganisasian sumber daya manusia dan sarana pendukung, (3) pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran dan program sekolah berbasis nilai-nilai multikultural, (4) pengawasan atau supervisi akademik dalam pendidikan multikultural, dan (5) evaluasi serta tindak lanjut terhadap implementasi pendidikan multikultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru mata pelajaran, guru BK, dan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pendidikan multikultural telah dituangkan dalam visi, misi, serta program kerja sekolah yang menekankan nilai toleransi dan keberagaman. Pengorganisasian sumber daya manusia dan sarana dilakukan melalui penugasan guru dalam kegiatan berbasis nilai multikultural serta penyediaan fasilitas yang digunakan secara adil oleh semua siswa. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran mencerminkan internalisasi nilai keberagaman dalam materi dan metode pengajaran. Supervisi akademik dilakukan secara berkala dengan memasukkan aspek toleransi sebagai bagian dari evaluasi kinerja guru. Evaluasi dan tindak lanjut menunjukkan adanya upaya perbaikan yang terus dilakukan oleh sekolah untuk memperkuat praktik pendidikan multikultural secara berkelanjutan. ***** This research aims to describe and analyze multicultural education management at SMPN 49 Jakarta. The study focuses on five subtopics: (1) planning of multicultural education, (2) organization of human resources and supporting facilities, (3) implementation of learning activities and school programs based on multicultural values, (4) academic supervision in multicultural education, and (5) evaluation and follow-up on the implementation of multicultural education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The informants include the principal, vice principal, subject teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, and students. The findings reveal that the planning of multicultural education is embedded in the school’s vision, mission, and work programs that emphasize tolerance and diversity. The organization of human resources and facilities is carried out through assigning teachers to multicultural-based programs and ensuring equitable access to school facilities for all students. The implementation of learning integrates values of diversity and tolerance into teaching materials and methods. Academic supervision is conducted periodically, with multicultural aspects included in the assessment of teacher performance. The evaluation and follow-up indicate continuous improvement efforts made by the school to enhance the practice of multicultural education.
