Abstract

Kata kunci: Cadmium, Logam, Timbal, Zinc **** Contamination of heavy metal waste in the environment can pose a dangerous threat to both the environment and humans living in the areas affected by pollution. Heavy metal contamination in the environment can come from mining activities, excessive use of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, irrigation runoff, and industrial products. Metals such as Zn, Cd, and Pb are the types of metals commonly found in aquatic environments. One of the most vulnerable organisms to heavy metal contamination in aquatic environments is fish. Heavy metals present in the water can accumulate in fish tissues and may pose a health risk to humans when the fish are consumed. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the content of Zn, Cd, and Pb in the flesh tissues and cultivation water of tilapia and carpfish. The research method was descriptive, by measuring the concentration of Zn, Cd, and Pb in the tissues of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus Linnaeus, 1758) and carp fish (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758), as well as in the water used for fish cultivation. The results showed that Zn was detected at the highest concentration of 0.4925 mg/kg, followed by Pb at approximately 0.0104 mg/kg, and Cd at less than 0.0002 mg/kg; however, all three metals remained below the safe threshold limits. Based on these data, only Zn showed a significant difference between tilapia and carp fish, whereas Cd and Pb did not show any significant difference. This indicates that the levels of Zn, Cd, and Pb found in both fish species are still safe for consumption. Keywords: Cadmium, Heavy Metals, Lead, Zinc
