Abstract
Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah memberikan sumbangan pemikiran tentang pengaruh kualifikasi pendidikan (IPA dan IPS) dan kompetensi profesional terhadap kompetensi kinerja guru PAUD dalam pembelajaran sains. Kemampuan guru PAUD dalam Pernbelajaran Sains adalah perilaku guru PAUD dalam upayanya untuk mencapai hasil (outcomes) ketika menjalankan tugasnya sebagai pengajar dan pendidik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Deskriptif Statistik. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan secara acak sederhana (random sampling). Jumlah sampel ditentukan sebanyak 200 guru yang dinilai mewakili seluruh populasi yang ada dengan jumlah guru PAUD yang rnemiliki latar belakang sekolah IPA 100 orang dan guru atau calon guru PAUD yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan IPS 100 orang di wilayah Jabodetabek Provinsi Jawa Barat. Hasil Pengujian terhadap pengaruh interaksi antara kualifikasi pendidikan guru PAUD dan Kompetensi Profesional terhadap kemampuan guru PAUD dalam pembelajaran sains menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh interaksi kedua variable bebas terhadap kemampuan guru PAUD dalam pembelajaran sains. Sehingga kemampuan guru PAUD dalam pembelajaran sains sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualifikasi pendidikan dan Kompetensi Profesional. Kemampuan guru PAUD dalam pembelajaran sains juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lain. Kata Kunci : Guru PAUD, kualifikasi pendidikan, kompetensi profesional, pembelajaran sains ***** The purpose of this research was to provide additional thought the influence of educational qualifications (Science/IPA and Social Studies/IPS) and professional competence on the performance of early childhood teachers in Science education. The ability of early childhood teachers in Science education is the behavior in their Efforts to Achieve outcomes when carrying out their duties as instructors and educators. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis. The method of the data collection is done by simple random sampling. The number of samples is determined as many as 200 teachers who are considered to represent the entire population. There are 100 teachers with IPA/science backgrounds and 100 teachers or prospective teachers with IPS/social studies in Jabodetabek region of West Java. Test results shows there is an influence of the interaction of two independent variables on the ability of early childhood teachers in science education. So, the ability of early childhood teachers in science education is greatly influenced by educational qualifications and professional competence. The ability of early childhood teachersin science education also can be influenced by other variables.
