Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara latihan Race Pace Training (Lactate Production, Lactate Tolerance, Peak Lactate) dan kecepatan 200 meter gaya bebas. Penelitian dilakukan di kolam renang Bojana Tirta Jakarta Timur yang dimulai pada tanggal 06 Maret hingga 30 Desember 2025 menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain “one group pre-test dan post-test design”. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu dengan sampel sebanyak 18 atlet renang Bina Taruna Swimming Club Jakarta. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes renang 200 meter gaya bebas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik uji-t dependent. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai thitung 6,19 > ttabel 2,110 dengan (df) = 17 dan taraf signifikan 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima artinya terdapat peningkatan setelah diberikan metode latihan Race Pace Training (Lactate Production, Lactate Tolerance dan Peak Lactate) dengan kenaikan persentase sebesar 1,62% dan nilai mean atau rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 2,66 detik. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa metode latihan Race Pace Training (Lactate Production, Lactate Tolerance dan Peak Lactate) mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kecepatan renang 200 meter gaya bebas. Latihan ini efektif karena menyesuaikan intensitas latihan dengan kecepatan lomba serta melatih adaptasi tubuh terhadap akumulasi laktat yang terjadi selama perlombaan. Sehingga latihan ini baik terhadap peningkatan hasil kecepatan renang 200 meter gaya bebas pada atlet klub renang Bina Taruna Swimming Club Jakarta. ***** This study aims to determine the relationship between Race Pace Training (Lactate Production, Lactate Tolerance, Peak Lactate) and 200 meter freestyle swimming speed. The study was conducted at the Bojana Tirta Swimming Pool, East Jakarta, from 06 March to 30 December 2025 using an experimental method with a “one group pre-test and post-test design”. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 18 swimming athletes from Bina Taruna Swimming Club Jakarta. The research instrument used was a 200 meter freestyle swimming test. The data analysis technique used was the dependent t-test statistical technique. Based on the results of data analysis, the obtained value was tcount 6.19 > ttable 2.110 with (df) = 17 and a significance level of 0.05, therefore H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, meaning that there was an improvement after being given the Race Pace Training method (Lactate Production, Lactate Tolerance, and Peak Lactate) with a percentage increase of 1.62% and a mean or average improvement of 2.66 seconds. Thus, it can be concluded that the Race Pace Training method (Lactate Production, Lactate Tolerance, and Peak Lactate) is able to improve the 200 meter freestyle swimming speed performance. This training is effective because it adjusts training intensity to race speed and trains the body’s adaptation to lactate accumulation that occurs during competition. Therefore, this training is beneficial for improving 200 meter freestyle swimming speed performance in athletes of Bina Taruna Swimming Club Jakarta.
