Abstract

Erosi merupakan proses pengikisan dan perpindahan material tanah dari satu tempat ke tempat lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan tingkat bahaya erosi di kawasan tersebut menggunakan model Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) yang mempertimbangkan lima faktor utama: erosivitas hujan (R), erodibilitas tanah (K), panjang dan kemiringan lereng (LS), vegetasi penutup tanah (C), serta tindakan konservasi tanah (P). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Berdasarkan pemodelan erosi menggunakan metode USLE di kawasan lereng Gunung Gede Pangrango, Kabupaten Sukabumi, tingkat bahaya erosi terbagi menjadi lima kelas, yaitu sangat ringan hingga sangat berat. Hasil menunjukkan dominasi kelas sangat ringan seluas 25.697,47 ha (77,09%), diikuti kelas ringan 3.210,51 ha (9,63%), sedang 3.011,87 ha (9,04%), berat 976,36 ha (2,93%), dan sangat berat 438,22 ha (1,31%). Kecamatan Sukalarang merupakan wilayah dengan bahaya erosi tertinggi pada kategori sedang hingga sangat berat dengan total luas mencapai 949,89 ha. ***** Erosion is the process of erosion and movement of soil material from one place to another. This study aims to map the level of erosion hazard in the area using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) model which considers five main factors: rainfall erosivity (R), soil erodibility (K), slope length and gradient (LS), ground cover vegetation (C), and soil conservation measures (P). The method used in this study is a quantitative method. Based on erosion modeling using the USLE method in the slopes of Mount Gede Pangrango, Sukabumi Regency, the erosion hazard level is divided into five classes, namely very light to very heavy. The results show the dominance of the very light class covering an area of 25,697.47 ha (77.09%), followed by the light class of 3,210.51 ha (9.63%), moderate 3,011.87 ha (9.04%), heavy 976.36 ha (2.93%), and very heavy 438.22 ha (1.31%). Sukalarang District is an area with the highest erosion hazard in the moderate to very severe category with a total area of 949.89 ha.
