Abstract

ABSTRAK Violeta Silka, Nurina Ayuningtyas, S.Pd., M.Pd. dan Dr. Nurul Hidayah, S.Pd., M.Pd. 2025, Pengembangan Video Tutorial Wavy Hair Style Menggunakan Hair Clip, Sarjana Terapan Kosmetik dan Perawatan Kecantikan, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Permasalahan yang ditemukan dalam praktik penataan rambut wavy hair adalah masih terbatasnya media pembelajaran yang membahas teknik pembuatan gelombang rambut menggunakan hair clip human hair, khususnya dengan teknik sasak yang memerlukan keterampilan dan pemahaman langkah-langkah yang tepat. Minimnya video tutorial yang sistematis dan mudah diikuti menyebabkan banyak pemula mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan teknik tersebut secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan video tutorial wavy hair style menggunakan hair clip yang layak dan praktis sebagai media pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa maupun masyarakat umum yang ingin mempelajari teknik penataan rambut secara mandiri. Pengembangan video tutorial menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D, yang meliputi tahap Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan), dan Disseminate (penyebaran). Hasil validasi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan yang sangat baik, yaitu ahli materi sebesar 100%, ahli media 94,67%, dan hasil uji praktikalitas melalui uji coba one-to-one sebesar 93,33% serta uji coba small group sebesar 92,93%. Dengan demikian, video tutorial wavy hair style menggunakan hair clip dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” dan “Sangat Praktis” sebagai media pembelajaran dan referensi penataan rambut. One of the common challenges in creating wavy hair styling is the limited availability of instructional media that specifically explain the technique of forming waves using human hair clip extensions, especially with the teasing (backcombing) method that requires precision and proper execution. The lack of structured and easy-to-follow tutorial videos makes it difficult for beginners to perform this technique independently. This research aims to develop a tutorial video on wavy hair styling using hair clips that is feasible and practical as a learning medium for students and the general public interested in independent hair styling practices. The development process employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Validation results indicate excellent feasibility, with a score of 100% from the material expert and 94,67% from the media expert. Practicality testing also shows very good results, with the one-to-one trial scoring 93,33% and the small group trial scoring 92,93%. Therefore, the wavy hair style tutorial video using hair clip is declared “Highly Feasible” and “Highly Practical” as a learning resource and reference for hair styling.
