Abstract
***** Kebumen Regency is one of the areas in Central Java with high flood vulnerability, recording 69 flood incidents in 2024. This study aims to analyze flood vulnerability levels and produce flood vulnerability zoning maps in Kebumen Regency using the Composite Mapping Analysis (CMA) method based on Geographic Information Systems. Parameters used include rainfall, land elevation, river density, slope gradient, land use, and soil type. Secondary data were processed using ArcGIS 10.8 software with weighting and scoring techniques of the CMA method, followed by overlay analysis to generate flood vulnerability maps. Results indicate that land use has the highest weight (35.21%), followed by river density (18.80%), slope gradient (17.02%), rainfall (15.50%), soil type (8.58%), and land elevation (4.89%). Flood vulnerability distribution is classified into three classes: high vulnerability covering 31,924.40 ha (23.93%), medium vulnerability 77,382.74 ha (58.02%), and low vulnerability 24,074.16 ha (18.05%). Sruweng, Karanganyar, and Adimulyo sub-districts represent areas with the highest vulnerability. Validation testing using 69 flood incident points shows an accuracy level of 66.67%, indicating that the flood vulnerability map has high validity and can be used as an instrument for disaster mitigation planning and spatial planning based on flood risk reduction in Kebumen Regency.
