Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan manajemen bandwidth pada router Mikrotik RB941 menggunakan metode Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) di Yayasan Pemimpin Muda Jakarta dengan pendekatan Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). Tahapan penelitian meliputi analisis kebutuhan jaringan, perancangan topologi dan kebijakan pembagian bandwidth, implementasi konfigurasi (mangle dan queue tree), serta pengujian kinerja jaringan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengujian bandwidth dan Quality of Service (QoS) berdasarkan standar TIPHON menggunakan parameter bandwidth, throughput, delay, jitter, dan packet loss. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan rata-rata bandwidth download sebesar 22,374 Mbps dan upload sebesar 22,906 Mbps. Pengujian QoS menghasilkan throughput 7,06 Mbps, delay rata-rata 1,05 ms, jitter 0,0084 ms, dan packet loss 0%. Secara keseluruhan, implementasi HTB mampu meningkatkan keteraturan distribusi bandwidth dan menjaga kualitas layanan jaringan pada skenario pengujian yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini masih terbatas pada skala pengujian dan kondisi trafik tertentu sehingga pengujian lanjutan pada jumlah pengguna dan beban trafik yang lebih besar direkomendasikan. Kata kunci: HTB, Manajemen Bandwidth, QoS, TIPHON, NDLC. ***** This study aims to design and implement bandwidth management on a Mikrotik RB941 router using the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method at Yayasan Pemimpin Muda Jakarta, employing the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) approach. The research stages include network requirement analysis, topology and bandwidth policy design, configuration implementation (mangle and queue tree), and network performance testing. The evaluation covers bandwidth testing and Quality of Service (QoS) assessment based on TIPHON using five parameters: bandwidth, throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss. The results show an average download bandwidth of 22.374 Mbps and an upload bandwidth of 22.906 Mbps. QoS measurements indicate a throughput of 7.06 Mbps, an average delay of 1.05 ms, a jitter of 0.0084 ms, and a packet loss of 0%. Overall, HTB implementation improves bandwidth distribution control and maintains service quality under the tested scenario. However, the findings are limited to a small-scale test environment and specific traffic conditions; therefore, further testing under higher user loads and more complex traffic patterns is recommended.
