Abstract
Kombinasi daun berprotein dan buah berkarbohidrat tinggi menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan nutrisi dasar monyet secara umum telah terpenuhi.*Long-tailed macaques are primates that are able to adapt to human environments, but habitat pressure and changes in food availability can affect their daily behavior and strategies for utilizing space and resources. These conditions shape the macaques' adaptation patterns in utilizing their habitat and selecting food sources by concentrating their activities in areas that are safe and ecologically beneficial. This study aims to examine habitat utilization, natural food availability, and food preferences of long-tailed macaques in Buyut Banjar Tourism, Indramayu. Observations were conducted in June 2025 using the instantaneous scan sampling and ad libitum sampling methods. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively, with habitat utilization analyzed using the minimum convex polygon (MCP) and kernel utilization distribution (KUD) methods, as well as the manly selectivity index to assess monkey food preferences. The results showed that monkeys concentrated their activities in two main areas in the northwest covering 565 m2 and in the south covering 863 m2. A total of 43 plant species were recorded as being used as natural food, reflecting the flexibility of the monkeys' diet. The highest preferences were recorded for tamarind, banyan, and lamtoro leaves, while tamarind, mango, and banyan fruits were the most preferred fruits. The combination of protein-rich leaves and high-carbohydrate fruits indicates that the monkeys' basic nutritional needs are generally met
