Abstract

Media masa membahas mengenai berbagai isu salah satunya adalah kekerasan seksual yang dibagikan oleh Detik.com. Kasus kekerasan seksual yang hangat dibicarakan masyarakat adalah kasus kekerasan seksual dokter Priguna yang terjadi di Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin Bandung diunggah di Instagram @detikcom pada 10 April 2025. Berita ini mendapatkan feedback, 16.504 menyukai unggahan, terdapat 987 komentar, dan dibagikan sebanyak 1338. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh terpaan media instagram @detikcom kekerasan seksual dokter priguna terhadap kepercayaan pada dokter. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori media baru. Terdapat dua pemahaman tentang teori ini yaitu interaksi sosial dan integrasi sosial. Variabel X dalam penelitian ini adalah terpaan media oleh James Potter terdapat tiga dimensi yakni exposure, attention dan exposure states. Variabel Y dalam penelitian ini adalah kepercayaan oleh Stephen P. Robbins dan Timothy A. Judge terdapat tiga dimensi yakni integrity, benevolence, dan ability. Paradigma pada penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma positivisme dan menggunakan pendeketan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan mengunakan metode survei. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 16.504 dan diperoleh 99 sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin untuk menguji validitas dan menggunakan Cronbach Alpha untuk menguji reliabilitas. Analisis univariat diukur dengan melihat nilai rata-rata pada tabel distribusi frekuensi. Analisis bivariat dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linear sederhana untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara variabel x (terpaan media) dan variabel y (kepercayaan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh terpaan media instagram @detikcom kekerasan seksual dokter priguna terhadap kepercayaan pada dokter. Dimensi paling berpengaruh dari variabel X adalah exposure. Menggambarkan kecermatan responden mempelajari efek pesan media berita kekerasan seksual Dokter Priguna, melihat, memahami, dan membaca pesan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pesan berita kekerasan seksual Dokter Priguna di Instagram @detikcom dilihat dan diperhatikan dengan baik sehingga memberikan pengaruh terhadap kepercayaan pada dokter. Selanjutnya, dimensi yang paling berpengaruh dari variabel Y adalah ability. Menggambarkan pemahaman akan keterampilan teknis mengenai pekerjaan dan pengetahuan akan tugasnya. Temuan ini menunjukkan meskipun adanya pemberitaan kekerasan seksual Dokter Priguna di Instagram @detikcom, dokter masih dinilai mampu untuk menjalankan tugas sesuai dengan spesialisasinya. Adapun saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan penelitian diperluas dengan membandingkan pengaruh dari beberapa platform media sosial. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui yang beragaram terhadap kasus kekerasan seksual di masyarakat. Selain itu, diharapkan penelitian mendatang dapat menggunakan ruang lingkup yang berbeda. Sehingga penelitian dan hasil yang didapat lebih beragam. ***** Mass media present various types of news, including sexual violence cases. One of media that actively post this issue is Detik.com. A widely discussed case is the sexual violence involving Doctor Priguna at Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung, which was uploaded on Instagram @detikcom on April 10, 2025. The post received 16,504 likes, 987 comments, and 1,338 shares. This research aims to examine The Influence of Media Exposure Instagram @Detikcom Doctor Priguna Sexual Violence Case on Trust in Doctors. This study uses the New Media Theory, which emphasizes two key concepts: social interaction and social integration. The independent variable (X) is media exposure based on James Potter’s concept, consisting of three dimensions: exposure, attention, and exposure states. The dependent variable (Y) is trust, using Stephen P. Robbins and Timothy A. Judge’s framework, consisting of three dimensions: integrity, benevolence, and ability. This paradigm of this study uses positivist paradigm and quantitative approach. It is descriptive research using a survey method. Population of this study consist 16,504, a sample of 99 respondents were selected through purposive sampling. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test used to test validity, while to test reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha. Univariate analysis was conducted by looking at mean scores in frequency distribution tables, and bivariate analysis was performed using simple linear regression to identify the influence between media exposure variable (X) and trust variable (Y). This study indicate that the influence of media exposure instagram @detikcom doctor priguna sexual violence case significantly affects on trust in doctors. The most influential dimension of variable X is exposure, the respondents engaged closely with the information presented about the sexual violence case involving Doctor Priguna. They not only looked at the post but also processed and interpreted the content. The audience paid genuine attention to the details of the coverage, the Instagram post from @detikcom played a role in shaping how they viewed and trust toward doctors. Futhermore, the most influential dimension of variable Y is ability. This explains the level of understanding related to technical competence in professional practice, including work skills and knowledge of assigned responsibilities. The results indicate that although news concerning Doctor Priguna’s sexual violence circulated on Instagram @detikcom, doctors are still perceived as capable of performing their professional duties in accordance with their respective fields of expertise. For future research, the suggestion is that the scope be broadened by comparing the influence of multiple social media platforms. This is to understand diverse public responses about sexual violence cases. Researchers are also encouraged to explore different contexts or populations. So that, the study become more varied and comprehensive.
