Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya peran guru sosiologi dalam mengembangkan sikap sosial siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan utama yaitu, pertama untuk menganalisis peran guru sosiologi dalam membentuk sikap sosial siswa dan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi guru sosiologi dalam proses pengembangan sikap sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan motode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, serta studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 10 orang yang terdiri dari 2 guru sosiologi dan 1 wakil kurikulum dari SMA Negeri 20 Jakarta. selain itu informan pendukung dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang siswa, dan untuk triagulasi data yaitu 1 orang wakil kesiswaan dan 1 orang tua siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sikap sosial siswa di SMA Negeri 20 Jakarta dilakukan melalui peran aktif guru Sosiologi yang didukung oleh kebijakan dan pembelajaran di kelas. Upaya tersebut diwujudkan melalui pembiasaan sehari-hari, seperti penerapan 5S (senyum, sapa, alam, sopan, santun), kedisiplinan, upacara, piket kelas, kegiatan keagamaan, literasi, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru menerapkan metode Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Project Based Learning (PjBL) yang mendorong siswa untuk bekerja sama, menghargai perbedaan pendapat, serta menumbuhkan empati dan tanggung jawab sosial. Penerapan aturan dan kesepakatan kelas turut membantu terciptanya suasana pembelajaran yang tertib dan kondusif. Meskipun demikian, pengembangan sikap sosial siswa masih menghadapi tantangan, terutama terkait pengaruh media sosial, perbedaan karakter siswa, dan latar belakang keluarga. Secara keseluruhan, peran guru sosiologi berperan penting dalam membentuk sikap sosial siswa. ***** This research is motivated by the importance of sociology teachers' role in developing students' social attitudes in the school environment. This research has two main objectives: first, to analyze the role of sociology teachers in shaping students' social attitudes and to identify the challenges sociology teachers face in developing social attitudes. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and a literature review and documentation. Ten subjects participated, consisting of two sociology teachers and one curriculum representative from SMA Negeri 20 Jakarta. Four students served as supporting informants, and one student representative and two parents served for data triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the development of students' social attitudes at SMA Negeri 20 Jakarta is carried out through the active role of Sociology teachers supported by policies and classroom learning. These efforts are realized through daily habits, such as the implementation of 5S, discipline, ceremonies, class duty, religious activities, literacy, and extracurricular activities. In the learning process, teachers apply Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Project Based Learning (PjBL) methods that encourage students to work together, respect differences in opinion, and foster empathy and social responsibility. The implementation of class rules and agreements also helps create an orderly and conducive learning atmosphere. However, the development of students' social attitudes still faces challenges, particularly related to the influence of social media, differences in student character, and family background. Overall, Sociology learning plays an important role in shaping students' social attitudes.
