Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil observasi selama pembelajaran di dalam kelas, siswa kelas VIII masih mengalami kesulitan dalam aspek berpikir kritis dan literasi matematika. Ketidakmampuan ini terlihat jelas saat siswa diminta menelaah informasi dan menyusun strategi penyelesaian pada soal-soal kontekstual. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya upaya perbaikan agar siswa mampu membangun argumen yang disertai bukti dan menerapkan konsep matematika pada soal kontekstual secara tepat. Penelitian tindakan kelas bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas keterampilan berpikir kritis dan literasi matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran RADEC. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VIII 5 dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksankan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas enam subjek yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok tinggi, dua kelompok sedang, dan dua kelompok rendah, dengan satu observer yang berprofesi sebagai guru bidang studi matematika. Data diperoleh melalui tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan literasi matematika siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC. / Based on observations during classroom learning, eighth-grade students still have difficulty in critical thinking and mathematical literacy. This inability is clearly seen when students are asked to analyze information and develop strategies to solve contextual problems. This condition requires improvement efforts so that students are able to construct evidence-based arguments and apply mathematical concepts appropriately to contextual problems. This classroom action research aims to improve the quality of students' critical thinking and mathematical literacy skills using the RADEC learning model. This research was conducted in class VIII 5 with 32 students. This classroom action research was carried out in three cycles. The research subjects consisted of six subjects divided into two high groups, two medium groups, and two low groups, with one observer who was a mathematics teacher. Data were obtained through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by applying quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed an increase in students' critical thinking and mathematical literacy skills with the application of the RADEC learning model.
