Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran teknik dasar pukulan drive dan servis tennis meja berbasis permainan dan mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran teknik dasar pukulan drive dan servis tennis meja berbasis permainan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar pukulan drive dan servis tennis meja pada mahasiswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall (2007). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi di kota Medan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket, dokumentasi, tes dan lembar penilaian proses. Kemudian uji efektivitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen before-after (one-Group pre-test and postest design) dengan menggunakan analisis Uji-t. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini adalah produk buku model pembelajaran teknik dasar drive dan servis tennis meja berbasis permainan bagi mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 40 jenis model. Pengembangan produk diawali dari telaah ahli, uji lapangan dalam kelompok kecil dan besar, dan uji efektivitas. Hasil telaah ahli menyatakan bahwa model yang dikembangkan layak dilanjutkan untuk uji coba lapangan. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil, model yang dikembangkan telah dapat diterapkan oleh mahasiswa akan tetapi masih ada beberapa perbaikan agar dapat diujicobakan dalam kelompok besar. Hasil uji coba kelompok besar, model yang dikembangkan telah dapat diterapkan oleh mahasiswa secara baik. Kemudian untuk hasil uji efektifitas menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran tennis meja dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis permainan memperoleh nilai mean untuk teknik forehand drive sebesar 5.800, mean teknik backhand drive sebesar 5,933, dan mean teknik servis sebesar 5,233. Sedangkan dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model konvesional memperoleh nilai mean untuk teknik forehand drive sebesar 4,967, mean teknik backhand drive sebesar 4,200, dan mean teknik servis sebesar 4,567. Hasil uji efektivitas tersebut menunjukkan bahwa capaian nilai mean kelompok model pembelajaran tennis meja berbasis permainan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok model pembelajaran konvesional, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model yang dikembangkan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model konvensional dalam meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar pukulan drive dan servis mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas, maka produk model pembelajaran tennis meja berbasis permainan ini dapat direkomendasikan dan efetif sebagai model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar drive dan servis tennis meja pada mahasiswa. The aim of this research is to develop the basic technique learning model of drive punch and table tennis service based on games and to find out the effectiveness of basic technique learning model of drive punch and table tennis service based on games in improving the basic technical skills of drive punch and table tennis service in students. This development study uses the Borg and Gall development model (2007). The research subjects were students of the Physical Education and Recreation Study Program in Medan. The instruments used were questionnaires, documentation, tests and process assessment sheets. The effectiveness test is carried out using a before-after experimental design (one-group pre-test and post-test design) using t-test analysis. The results of this development research are the books of basic technique learning model of drive punch and table tennis service based on games for students consisting of 40 types of models. Product development begins with expert studies, field tests in small and large groups, and effectiveness tests. The results of the experts study stated that the developed model was suitable to be continued for field trials. The results of small group trials, the developed model can be applied by students but there are still some improvements that needed so that it can be tested in large groups. The results of large group trials, the developed model has been able to be applied by students well. Then for the results of the effectiveness test showed that learning table tennis using a gamebased learning model obtained a mean value for the forehand drive technique of 5,800, mean backhand drive technique of 5.933, and mean service technique of 5.233. Whereas in learning using the conventional model, the mean value for the forehand drive technique is 4.967, the mean backhand drive technique is 4.200, and the mean service technique is 4.567. The results of the effectiveness test showed that the achievement of the mean value of the game-based table tennis learning model group is higher than the conventional learning model group, therefore it can be concluded that the model developed is better than the conventional model in improving the basic technique skills of drive punch and service of the student. Based on the results of the research above, this based learning model of table tennis learning can be recommended and effective as a learning model to improve the basic drive skills and table tennis services for students.
