Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan bagaimana Generasi Z mengadopsi inovasi media musik digital melalui pengalaman mereka menggunakan platform musik digital. Penelitian menyoroti pola interaksi pengguna dengan teknologi, motivasi, dan pengaruh sosial dalam proses adopsi, serta bagaimana pengalaman tersebut membentuk perilaku konsumsi musik mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Difusi Inovasi Everett Rogers, yang menekankan lima tahap adopsi inovasi: pengetahuan, persuasi, keputusan, implementasi, dan konfirmasi, untuk menganalisis proses adopsi media musik digital oleh Generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, di mana peneliti memperoleh informasi dari lima orang informan pengguna platform musik digital di Jakarta Selatan. Lokasi penelitian berada di Jakarta Selatan, dan dilakukan mulai tanggal 23 November hingga 28 November 2025. Informasi dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam untuk memahami pengalaman individu dalam mengenal, mencoba, dan mengadopsi platform musik digital, serta melalui analisis fenomena sosial yang memengaruhi adopsi tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adopsi inovasi media musik digital pada generasi Z dipengaruhi oleh faktor teknologi, sosial, dan pribadi. Faktor teknologi mencakup kemudahan penggunaan platform, fitur interaktif, dan aksesibilitas konten musik. Faktor sosial melibatkan rekomendasi teman, tren sosial, dan pengaruh komunitas musik digital, sementara faktor pribadi meliputi minat, kebiasaan mendengarkan, dan motivasi individu. Interaksi antara faktor-faktor ini bersifat timbal balik, sehingga pengalaman positif dalam penggunaan platform mendorong adopsi lebih luas dan memengaruhi preferensi musik serta kebiasaan mendengarkan secara berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Adopsi Inovasi, Media Musik Digital, Generasi Z, Difusi Inovasi, Perilaku Pengguna *** *************** This study aims to describe how Generation Z adopts digital music media innovations through their experiences using digital music platforms. The research highlights the patterns of user interaction with technology, motivations, and social influences in the adoption process, as well as how these experiences shape their music consumption behavior. This study applies Everett Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation theory, which emphasizes five stages of innovation adoption: knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation, to analyze the adoption process of digital music media among Generation Z. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, in which the researcher obtained information from five informants who are users of digital music platforms in South Jakarta. The research was conducted in South Jakarta from November 23 to November 28, 2025. Data were collected through in-depth interviews to understand individual experiences in learning about, trying, and adopting digital music platforms, as well as through an analysis of social phenomena influencing adoption. The results indicate that the adoption of digital music media innovations among Generation Z is influenced by technological, social, and personal factors. Technological factors include platform usability, interactive features, and content accessibility. Social factors involve recommendations from friends, social trends, and the influence of digital music communities, while personal factors encompass individual interests, listening habits, and personal motivation. The interaction of these factors is reciprocal, where positive experiences in using the platforms encourage wider adoption and influence music preferences and listening habits sustainably.
