Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi awal merupakan kemampuan dasar yang berperan penting dalam perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini dan perlu dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik serta kebutuhan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi awal anak usia 4-5 tahun melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi WordWall sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 15 anak usia 4-5 tahun yang terdiri atas 8 anak laki-laki dan 7 anak perempuan di Taman Kanak-Kanak Raudatul Ilmi Muara Teweh, Kalimantan Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang bersifat kualitatif dengan dukungan data kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar observasi kemampuan numerasi, tes lisan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman serta secara kuantitatif melalui perhitungan persentase capaian perkembangan anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan numerasi awal anak pada seluruh aspek yang diteliti, yaitu kemampuan mengenal angka meningkat dari 72,8% pada Siklus I menjadi 86,5% pada Siklus II, kemampuan menghitung jumlah benda dari 73,5% menjadi 87%, kemampuan mengurutkan angka dari 74% menjadi 88,5%, serta kemampuan memahami konsep banyak dan sedikit dari 72,9% menjadi 84,8%. Pada akhir Siklus II, sebanyak 80% anak mencapai kriteria berkembang sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi WordWall efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran numerasi awal pada anak usia dini. ***** Early numeracy skills are fundamental abilities that play an important role in the cognitive development of young children and need to be developed through learning activities that are appropriate to children’s characteristics and needs. This study aimed to improve the early numeracy skills of children aged 4–5 years through the use of the WordWall application as an interactive learning medium. The participants of this study were 15 children aged 4–5 years, consisting of 8 boys and 7 girls, at Raudatul Ilmi Kindergarten, Muara Teweh, Central Kalimantan. This study employed a classroom action research method (classroom action research) with a qualitative orientation supported by quantitative data. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research instruments included numeracy observation sheets, oral tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively using the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman and quantitatively through the calculation of the percentage of children’s developmental achievement. The results showed an improvement in children’s early numeracy skills across all observed aspects. The ability to recognize numbers increased from 72.8% in Cycle I to 86.5% in Cycle II, counting objects increased from 73.5% to 87%, ordering numbers increased from 74% to 88.5%, and understanding the concepts of more and less increased from 72.9% to 84.8%. At the end of Cycle II, 80% of the children reached the very well-developed category. The findings indicate that the WordWall application is effective as a learning medium for improving early numeracy skills in early childhood education.
