Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) yang bertujuan mengembangkan media e-learning berbasis website pada materi integral luas daerah kurva dan volume benda putar untuk siswa kelas XII SMK dengan menggunakan Strategi Polya. Strategi Polya diterapkan untuk penyelesaian masalah integral melalui media e-learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan media e-learning yang dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis (Analisis), Design (Desain), Development (Pengembangan), Implementation (Implementasi), dan Evaluation (Evaluasi). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelompok siswa kelas XII SMKN 26 Jakarta yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang masing-masing berjumlah 30 siswa. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa e-learning berbasis website yang dirancang sesuai dengan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah Polya, yaitu memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali solusi. Uji keefektifan media dilakukan menggunakan desain posttest-only control group design dengan melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan e-learning berbasis strategi Polya dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika diperoleh melalui tes posttest setelah proses pembelajaran selesai. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, angket kepraktisan siswa, serta tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Analisis data validitas dan kepraktisan dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan respons siswa, sedangkan analisis keefektifan menggunakan uji Mann–Whitney U dan effect size (koefisien r). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media e-learning yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas yang tinggi berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media, serta dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan respons siswa. Hasil uji keefektifan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang menggunakan e-learning berbasis strategi Polya lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, dengan nilai effect size r = 0,681 yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, media e-learning berbasis website dengan strategi Polya dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi integral luas daerah kurva dan volume benda putar. ***** This study employed a research and development approach aimed at developing a website-based e-learning medium on integral topics, specifically the area under curves and the volume of solids of revolution, for twelfth-grade vocational high school students by applying Polya’s strategy. Polya’s strategy was applied to solve integral problems through e-learning media. The study examined the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed e-learning media in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. The ADDIE development model was adopted, consisting of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects comprised two groups of twelfth-grade students at SMKN 26 Jakarta, namely an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 30 students. The resulting product was a website-based e-learning medium designed according to Polya’s problem-solving steps, including understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and reviewing the solution. The effectiveness of the media was tested using a posttest-only control group design involving an experimental class that used Polya strategy-based e-learning and a control class that received conventional instruction. Data on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities were collected through a posttest administered after the learning process. Research instruments included material expert and media expert validation sheets, a student practicality questionnaire, and a mathematical problem-solving ability test. Validity and practicality data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods based on expert evaluations and student responses, while effectiveness was analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test and effect size (r coefficient). The findings indicated that the developed e-learning media demonstrated a high level of validity based on evaluations by material and media experts and was considered practical based on student responses. Effectiveness testing revealed that students who used the Polya strategy-based e-learning achieved higher mathematical problem-solving abilities than those who received conventional instruction, with an effect size value of r = 0.681, categorized as high. The website-based e-learning media incorporating Polya’s strategy was concluded to be valid, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning on integral topics involving area under curves and volume of solids of revolution.
