Abstract

Kepuasan hidup merupakan indikator penting dalam kesejahteraan psikologis peserta didik pada masa remaja awal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara harga diri dan dukungan sosial dengan kepuasan hidup peserta didik SMP kota Jakarta Timur berstatus sosial ekonomi menengah, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan subjek 474 peserta didik yang dipilih melalui teknik sampel jenuh. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen Multidimensional Life Satisfaction Scale (MLSS) untuk mengukur kepuasan hidup peserta didik, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) untuk mengukur dukungan sosial, dan Rosenberg Self Esteem, Scale (RSES) untuk mengukur harga diri yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, serta dianalisis menggunakan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga diri dan dukungan sosial memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan hidup, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Nilai Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,338 menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel tersebut menjelaskan 33,8% variasi kepuasan hidup. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa adanya hubungan antara kepuasan hidup peserta didik dipengaruhi juga oleh faktor intrapersonal dan interpersonal, sehingga perlu ditingkatkan melalui penguatan harga diri dan dukungan sosial dari keluarga, sekolah, dan teman sebaya. ***** Life satisfaction is an important indicator of psychological well-being in early adolescence. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-esteem and social support with life satisfaction of junior high school students in East Jakarta with middle socioeconomic status, both partially and simultaneously. The study used a quantitative correlational approach with 474 students selected through total sampling techniques. Data were collected using the Multidimensional Life Satisfaction Scale (MLSS) to measure student life satisfaction, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) to measure social support, and the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES) to measure self-esteem, which have been tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed that self-esteem and social support have a positive and significant relationship with life satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.338 indicates that the two variables explain 33.8% of the variation in life satisfaction. This finding confirms that there is a relationship between student life satisfaction and intrapersonal and interpersonal factors, so it needs to be improved by strengthening self-esteem and social support from family, school, and peers.
