Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universits Negeri Jakarta. Keterampilan menyimak merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk memahami dan menafsirkan makna teks lisan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada peserta didik kelas IX SMPN 89 Jakarta Barat, keterampilan menyimak peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, terutama dalam memahami teks rekon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition (AIR) terhadap keterampilan menyimak teks rekon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 72 peserta didik yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata keterampilan menyimak setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition (AIR), yaitu dari 61 menjadi 77,01. Hasil uji independent sample t-test diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,089 > 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen pada kemampuan awal. Kemudian Hasil uji N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan kategori sedang pada kelas eksperimen, dan hasil perhitungan effect size berada pada kategori besar. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran AIR efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak teks rekon peserta didik kelas IX SMPN 89 Jakarta Barat. The Effect of Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition (Air) Learning Models on Listening Skills of Recount Texts of Grade IX Students of Smpn 89 Jakarta. Jakarta: Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Jakarta. Listening skills are one of the important competencies in Indonesian language learning to understand and interpret the meaning of spoken texts. Based on the results of observations on grade IX students of SMPN 89 West Jakarta, students' listening skills are still relatively low, especially in understanding recon texts. This study aims to determine the effect of the Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition (AIR) learning model on listening skills in recount texts. The research method used is an experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 72 students divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through an initial test (pre-test) and a final test (post-test). The results of the study showed an increase in the average value of listening skills after the application of the Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition (AIR) learning model, namely from 61 to 77.01. The results of the independent sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.089 > 0.05. This indicates that there is no significant difference between the control class and the experimental class in initial abilities. The N-Gain test results showed a moderate increase in the experimental class, and the effect size calculation results were in the large category. Thus, the AIR learning model is effective for improving the listening skills of recount texts of grade IX students at SMPN 89 West Jakarta.
