Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam mengembangkan prestasi non-akademik peserta didik, khususnya melalui paduan suara. Kajian teoritis berlandaskan pada konsep manajemen strategi Fred R. David yang mencakup tahap formulasi, implementasi, dan evaluasi, serta teori komponen pembinaan Suryosubroto. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus di SMPN 115 Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi terstruktur dengan kepala sekolah, wakil bidang kesiswaan, pembina, pelatih, dan anggota, serta telaah dokumentasi yang divalidasi melalui triangulasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembinaan mencakup formulasi tujuan secara kolaboratif, penetapan materi berbasis kebutuhan kompetisi, implementasi metode latihan rutin dan coaching clinic, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan. Hasilnya, 115 Choir berhasil meraih prestasi konsisten di tingkat nasional hingga internasional, termasuk Gold Medal dalam kompetisi internasional. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi pembinaan yang terstruktur dan adaptif berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan prestasi peserta didik. The theoretical framework is grounded in Fred R. David's strategic management concept encompassing the stages of formulation, implementation, and evaluation, along with Suryosubroto's coaching component theory. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method at SMPN 115 Jakarta. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with the principal, vice principal of student affairs, supervisor, coach, and members, as well as documentation review validated through triangulation. The findings reveal that the coaching strategy encompasses collaborative goal formulation, competition-based material determination, implementation of routine training methods and coaching clinics, as well as continuous evaluation. As a result, 115 Choir has consistently achieved recognition at the national and international levels, including a Gold Medal in an international competition. This study concludes that a structured and adaptive coaching strategy contributes significantly to the improvement of student achievement.
