Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis relevansi antara materi bacaan dalam Buku Pelajaran " Forward For Vocational School” " untuk kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan Kompetensi Dasar dalam Kurikulum 2013 dalam konteks area kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif sebagai metode. Data diperoleh dari silabus bahasa Inggris untuk siswa kelas X SMK dan buku teks. Kemudian, peneliti menganalisis instruksi tugas dan latihan apakah sesuai dengan relevansinya dengan kata kerja dari tabel area kognitif yang dinyatakan oleh Anderson. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam hal relevansi materi Bacaan dalam buku teks dengan silabus pada area kognitif, terdapat 72 materi bacaan di buku relevan sejumlah 93% menurut Indikator relevansi berdasarkan Permen Nomor 2 Tahun 2008 Tentang Buku. Namun, ada empat bahan yang tidak relevan atau sejumlah 7%. Dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyarankan agar penulis buku dapat meningkatkan dan mengembangkan materi dalam buku ini. Peneliti juga menyarankan bahwa jika guru dapat menggunakan buku ini sebagai sumber utama atau pembelajaran mereka, namun mereka harus memiliki sumber pelengkap seperti materi otentik untuk mendapatkan materi yang lebih beragam. **** The aim of the research is to analyze the relevance between the Reading materials in the Textbook “Forward For Vocational School” for grade XI Vocational High School with Basic Competence in 2013 Curriculum in terms of Cognitive domains of learning. This research used descriptive qualitative content analysis as research method. The data are taken from English syllabus for eleventh graders of Vocational High School and the textbook . Then, the researcher analyzed the instruction of task and exercise according to its relevancy with the cognitive domains action verbs stated by Anderson.The result of this study showed that in term of the relevancy of the Reading materials in the textbook with syllabus at the cognitive domain, there are 72 Reading materials in the book which are relevant 93 % according to The relevance conformity is based on the Permen Nomor 2 Tahun 2008 Tentang Buku. However, There are four materials which are not relevant or about 7 %. From the research findings, the researcher suggests the book writer to improve and develop the materials in this book. For the book users, the researcher suggests The researcher suggests that if the teacher use this book as their main source or learning, they should have a complement source such authentic materials in order to get the variation of the materials.
