Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis potensi Hutan Kota Srengseng sebagai wisata edukasi masyarakat di Jakarta Barat, kondisi sarana-prasarana pendukung, serta kelebihan dan kekurangan kawasan. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori 4A (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities, Ancillary Services). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap 10 informan (1 pengelola, 2 tour guide, 7 pengunjung) yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juni–Juli 2026 di Hutan Kota Srengseng, Jakarta Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hutan Kota Srengseng memiliki potensi besar sebagai wisata edukasi, tercermin dari keberagaman pohon, flora-fauna urban, danau buatan sebagai media pembelajaran ekosistem, serta lokasi yang strategis dan mudah diakses. Sarana-prasarana seperti jalur pedestrian, papan informasi berbasis QR, area pembibitan, gazebo, dan amphitheater cukup mendukung wisata edukasi tingkat dasar, meski masih ada kekurangan seperti terbatasnya listrik di amphitheater dan minimnya tempat berteduh. Kelebihan kawasan meliputi biaya kunjungan terjangkau, vegetasi menyerupai hutan alami, dan tingginya partisipasi sekolah serta komunitas, sedangkan kekurangannya meliputi belum adanya program edukasi terstruktur, minimnya pelatihan pemandu, dan promosi yang belum optimal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Hutan Kota Srengseng berpotensi besar dikembangkan sebagai wisata edukasi masyarakat, namun memerlukan penguatan program edukasi, pelatihan pemandu, dan strategi promosi agar fungsi edukatifnya termanfaatkan optimal.***** This study aims to analyze the potential of Srengseng Urban Forest as a community educational tourism destination in West Jakarta, the condition of its supporting facilities and infrastructure, and the area's strengths and weaknesses. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with the 4A theory approach (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities, Ancillary Services). Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving 10 informants (1 manager, 2 tour guides, 7 visitors) selected through purposive sampling. The research was conducted from June–July 2026 at Srengseng Urban Forest, West Jakarta. The results show that Srengseng Urban Forest has great potential as an educational tourism destination, reflected in its diverse trees, urban flora and fauna, an artificial lake serving as a medium for learning about aquatic ecosystems, and its strategic, easily accessible location. Facilities such as pedestrian paths, QR-code information boards, a nursery area, gazebos, and an amphitheater adequately support basic educational tourism activities, though shortcomings remain, such as limited electricity at the amphitheater and a lack of shaded resting areas. The area's strengths include affordable visiting costs, vegetation resembling a natural forest, and high participation from schools and communities, while its weaknesses include the absence of a structured educational program, limited guide training, and suboptimal promotion. It can be concluded that Srengseng Urban Forest has significant potential to be developed as a community educational tourism destination, but requires strengthening in educational programs, guide training, and promotional strategies to optimally utilize its educational function.
