Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui hubungan antara reaksi visual dengan kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok. 2) mengetahui hubungan antara power otot lengan dengan kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok. 3) mengetahui hubungan antara reaksi visual dan power otot lengan secara Bersama-sama terhadap kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh atlet KOP Taekwondo UNJ sebanyak 35 atlet. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 15 atlet KOP Taekwondo UNJ yang ditentukan menggunakan purposive sampling atau penentuan sampel berdasarkan kriteria. Instrumen tes pada penelitian ini adalah: 1 ) Whole Body Reaction untuk mengukur reaksi visual. 2) Medicine Ball Chest Throw untuk mengukur power otot lengan yang kemudian dikonversi ke satuan watt. 3) Electronic Body Reaction System untuk mengukur kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistic deskriptif, korelasi Product Moment, korelasii ganda, uji dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat hubungan antara reaksi visual dengan kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok (r = 0,694) Dimana hal ini ditunjukkan dengan thitung = 3,479 > ttabel = 2,160, dengan persamaan regresi yaitu (Ŷ = 0,217 + 0,449 X₁) dimana kenaikan variabel X₁ sebesar 0,449 diikuti pula oleh variabel Y sebesar 0,217. 2) terdapat hubungan antara power otot lengan dengan kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok (r = -0,582) dimana hal ini ditunjukkan dengan thitung = 2,580 > ttabel = 2,160, dengan persamaan regresi yaitu (Ŷ = 0,445 + 0,00018 X2) dimana kenaikan variabel X₂ sebesar 0,00018 diikuti pula oleh variabel Y sebesar 0,445. 3) terdapat hubungan antara reaksi visula dan power otot lengan secara bersama-sama dengan kecepatan reaksi pukulan juneok (R = 0,704) dimana hal ini ditunjukkan dengan Fhitung = 5,907 > Ftabel = 3,89, dengan persamaan regesi yaitu (Ŷ = 0,157 + 0,515 X₁ + 0,0001 X₂) dimana variabel X₂ memiliki hubungan yang lebih kuat terhadap Y dibandingkan dengan variabel X₁, karena nilai koefisien X₂ (0,0001) lebih tinggi daripada koefisien X₁ (0,515). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima pada ketiga hipotesis penelitian. Dengan demikian, reaksi visual dan power otot lengan memiliki hubungan dengan kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok pada atlet KOP Taekwondo UNJ. Kata kunci: reaksi visual, power otot lengan, kecepatan reaksi pukulan jumeok ***** This study aimed to: (1) determine the relationship between visual reaction and the reaction speed of the jumeok punch; (2) examine the relationship between arm muscle power and the reaction speed of the jumeok punch; and (3) investigate the combined relationship of visual reaction and arm muscle power with the reaction speed of the jumeok punch. This study employed a quantitative research method with a correlational approach. The population consisted of all 35 athletes of the KOP Taekwondo Club at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). The sample comprised 15 KOP Taekwondo UNJ athletes selected through purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. The research instruments included: (1) the Whole Body Reaction Test to measure visual reaction; (2) the Medicine Ball Chest Throw Test to assess arm muscle power, with the results subsequently converted into watts; and (3) the Electronic Body Reaction System to measure the reaction speed of the jumeok punch. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson Product–Moment correlation analysis, multiple correlation analysis, the t-test, and the F-test. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant positive relationship between visual reaction and the reaction speed of the jumeok punch (r = 0.694), as indicated by thitung = 3,479 > ttabel = 2,160. The regression equation was Ŷ = 0.217 + 0.449X₁, indicating that every 0.449-unit increase in visual reaction (X₁) was associated with a 0.217-unit increase in the jumeok punch reaction speed (Y). (2) There was a significant relationship between arm muscle power and the reaction speed of the jumeok punch (r = −0.582), as indicated by thitung = 2,580 > ttabel = 2,160. The regression equation was Ŷ = 0.445 + 0.00018X₂, indicating that every 0.00018-unit increase in arm muscle power (X₂) was associated with a 0.445-unit increase in the jumeok punch reaction speed (Y). (3) There was a significant combined relationship between visual reaction and arm muscle power and the reaction speed of the jumeok punch (R = 0.704), as indicated by Fhitung = 5,907 > Ftabel = 3,89, = 3.89. The multiple regression equation was Ŷ = 0.157 + 0.515X₁ + 0.0001X₂. The hypothesis testing results indicated that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted for all three research hypotheses. In conclusion, visual reaction and arm muscle power were significantly associated with the reaction speed of the jumeok punch among athletes of the KOP Taekwondo Club at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ).
