Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan penguatan civic engagement melalui program community development Paguyuban KSE UNJ di Muara Bakti Babelan. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Maret sampai Mei tahun 2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi sebanyak 2 kali, wawancara mendalam terhadap 9 informan, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam program community development Paguyuban KSE UNJ dilakukan melalui keikutsertaan dalam program pelatihan, produksi, pemasaran, dan pengembangan produk. Kedua, keterlibatan masyarakat dalam menumbuhkan kapasitas dan kemandirian masyarakat ditandai dengan munculnya kesadaran terhadap manfaat program, keterlibatan aktif dalam kegiatan, keberanian menyampaikan pendapat, pertumbuhan kapasitas produksi, serta mulai tumbuhnya inisiatif mandiri. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam program community development telah mencerminkan empat prinsip community development yang dapat membentuk civic participation sedangkan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam menumbuhkan kapasitas dan kemandirian masyarakat mencerminkan empat bentuk keterlibatan masyarakat dalam civic engagement yang dapat membentuk civic awareness, sehingga integrasi antara civic participation dan civic awareness menjadi landasan penguatan civic engagement masyarakat Desa Muara Bakti melalui program community development Paguyuban KSE UNJ. ***** This study aims to analyze and describe the strengthening of civic engagement through the Paguyuban KSE UNJ community development program in Muara Bakti Babelan. The research was conducted from March to May 2026, employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included two observation sessions, in-depth interviews with nine informants, and documentation review. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that, first, community participation in the Paguyuban KSE UNJ program manifests through involvement in training, production, marketing, and product development activities. Second, community involvement in fostering capacity and self-reliance is evidenced by an emerging awareness of the program's benefits, active participation, the confidence to express opinions, increased production capacity, and the rise of independent initiatives. The study concludes that the forms of community participation in the community development program reflect four community development principles that foster civic participation, while community involvement in building capacity and self reliance reflects four forms of citizen involvement in civic engagement that cultivate civic awareness; thus, the integration of civic participation and civic awareness serves as the foundation for strengthening the civic engagement of the Muara Bakti Village community through the Paguyuban KSE UNJ community development program.
