Abstract

Fase start, khususnya track start, memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan kecepatan awal perlombaan renang, terutama pada nomor jarak pendek. Akan tetapi, sebagian besar penelitian terdahulu masih berfokus pada parameter tubuh secara keseluruhan, sehingga kontribusi sudut knee joint dan hip joint secara terpisah terhadap jarak horizontal entry phase belum banyak dikaji, khususnya pada atlet tingkat pembinaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara sudut knee joint dan sudut hip joint pada bidang sagittal dengan jarak horizontal entry phase pada gerakan track start atlet renang pembinaan pelajar. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan sampel sebanyak 10 orang atlet renang laki-laki dari Pusat Pelatihan Olahraga Pelajar (PPOP) DKI Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui perekaman video gerakan track start menggunakan dua kamera berkecepatan 120 fps pada posisi bidang sagittal, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan software Kinovea untuk mengukur besaran sudut sendi pada empat fase, yaitu preparation, take-off, flight, dan entry phase. Teknik analisis data meliputi statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, dan uji korelasi Spearman's rho dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics versi 29. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 16 pasangan variabel yang diuji, terdapat tiga hubungan yang signifikan dengan jarak horizontal entry phase, yaitu sudut knee joint pada flight phase tungkai belakang (rs= -0,727; p = 0,017) dan tungkai depan (rs = -0,724; p = 0,018) dengan arah negatif yang kuat, serta sudut hip joint pada entry phase tungkai depan (rs= 0,736; p = 0,015) dengan arah positif yang kuat. Dengan demikian, semakin kecil sudut knee joint saat flight phase dan semakin besar sudut hip joint tungkai depan saat entry phase, semakin jauh jarak horizontal entry phase yang dicapai.***** The start phase, particularly the track start, plays an important role in generating the initial velocity of a swimming race, especially in short-distance events. However, most previous studies have focused on whole-body parameters, so the separate contributions of the knee joint and hip joint angles to the horizontal distance of the entry phase remain underexamined, particularly among development-level athletes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knee joint and hip joint angles in the sagittal plane and the horizontal distance of the entry phase in the track start of student development swimmers. This study employed a descriptive correlational method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a sample of 10 male swimmers from Pusat Pelatihan Olahraga Pelajar (PPOP) DKI Jakarta. Data were collected by recording the track start using two 120 fps cameras positioned on the sagittal plane, then analyzed using Kinovea software to measure joint angles across four phases, namely the preparation, take-off, flight, and entry phase. The data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Spearman's rho correlation test using IBM SPSS Statistics version 29. The results showed that of the 16 pairs of variables tested, three had a significant relationship with the horizontal distance of the entry phase, namely the knee joint angle during the flight phase of the rear leg (rs= -0.727; p = 0.017) and the front leg (rs= -0.724; p = 0.018) with a strong negative direction, and the hip joint angle during the entry phase of the front leg (rs = 0.736; p = 0.015) with a strong positive direction. Thus, the smaller the knee joint angle during the flight phase and the larger the front-leg hip joint angle during the entry phase, the greater the horizontal entry distance achieved.
