Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya nilai ANBK di Kabupaten Bekasi terutama pada indikator koneksi matematis. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Problem Based Learning integrasi Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (PBL-CPA) terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis murid ditinjau dari Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) pada murid kelas IV sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Bekasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Jayamukti 01 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Jayamukti 04 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan sampel 64 murid kelas IV tahun pelajaran 2025/2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain treatment by level 2×2. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dan angket Self-Regulated Learning, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Anava dua jalur dengan bantuan aplikasi Jamovi 2.6.44. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan koneksi matematis murid yang memperoleh pembelajaran PBL-CPA lebih tinggi dibandingkan murid yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori; (2) kemampuan koneksi matematis murid dengan SRL tinggi lebih tinggi dibandingkan murid dengan SRL rendah; (3) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan SRL terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis murid; (4) murid dengan SRL tinggi yang belajar menggunakan PBL-CPA memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis lebih tinggi dibandingkan murid dengan SRL tinggi yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran ekspositori; (5) murid dengan SRL rendah yang belajar menggunakan PBL-CPA memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis lebih rendah dibandingkan murid yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran ekspositori; (6) pada kelompok PBL-CPA, murid dengan SRL tinggi memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis lebih tinggi dibandingkan murid dengan SRL rendah; dan (7) pada kelompok pembelajaran ekspositori, murid dengan SRL rendah memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis lebih tinggi dibandingkan murid dengan SRL tinggi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL-CPA berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis murid dibandingkan pembelajaran ekspositori, terutama pada murid yang memiliki SRL tinggi. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya guru mempertimbangkan tingkat SRL murid dalam menerapkan PBL-CPA agar pembelajaran matematika berlangsung lebih efektif dan memberikan hasil yang optimal. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Problem-Based Learning integrated with the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract approach (PBL-CPA) on students’ mathematical connection ability in terms of their Self-Regulated Learning (SRL). The study was conducted at SDN Jayamukti 01 as the experimental class and SDN Jayamukti 04 as the control class, with 64 fourth-grade students during the 2025/2026 academic year. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a 2×2 treatment-by-level design. Data were collected through a mathematical connection ability test and a Self-Regulated Learning questionnaire and were analyzed using two-way ANOVA with Jamovi 2.6.44. The results showed that: (1) students taught through PBL-CPA demonstrated higher mathematical connection ability than those taught through expository learning; (2) students with high SRL achieved higher mathematical connection ability than those with low SRL; (3) there was a significant interaction between the learning model and SRL on students’ mathematical connection ability; (4) among students with high SRL, those who learned through PBL-CPA outperformed those who learned through expository learning; (5) among students with low SRL, those who learned through PBL-CPA performed lower than those who learned through expository learning; (6) within the PBL-CPA group, students with high SRL achieved higher mathematical connection ability than those with low SRL; and (7) within the expository learning group, students with low SRL achieved higher mathematical connection ability than those with high SRL. The findings indicate that PBL-CPA is more effective than expository learning in enhancing students’ mathematical connection ability, particularly for students with high SRL. The study implies that teachers should consider students’ SRL levels when implementing PBL-CPA to optimize mathematics learning outcomes.
