Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang dilakukan Ketua Komisi Pemilihan Umum Raya dalam mendorong partisipasi mahasiswa untuk memilih. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi nonpartisipatif dilakukan dengan mengamati aktivitas pada akun media sosial Instagram KPU dan dilakukan wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap Ketua Ketua Komisi Pemilihan Umum Raya Pusat dan Fakultas tahun 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang dilakukan Ketua Komisi Pemilihan Umum Raya dilakukan dengan cara sosialisasi, konten media sosial, transparansi dan akses informasi, serta kerja sama dengan organisasi kemahasiswaan. Melalui strategi tersebut penyebaran informasi telah menjangkau mahasiswa, namun belum sampai pada peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi dalam pemira. Hal tersebut terjadi karena sikap apatis dan tidak peduli mahasiswa terhadap kegiatan kemahasiswaan di kampus. Dengan demikian, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah strategi yang diterapkan lebih berorientasi pada penyebaran informasi daripada peningkatan partisipasi mahasiswa. Maka, perlu ada evalusi strategi agar muncul ketertarikan mahasiswa untuk memilih secara menyeluruh dan berdampak pada tingkat partisipasi mahasiswa yang meningkat.***** This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the strategy carried out by the Chairman of the General Election Commission in encouraging student participation to vote. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Non-participatory observation was carried out by observing activities on the KPU's Instagram social media account and conducting semi-structured interviews with the Chairman of the Central General Election Commission and the Faculty in 2025. The results of the study show that the strategy carried out by the Chairman of the General Election Commission is carried out by means of socialization, social media content, transparency and access to information, as well as cooperation with student organizations. Through this strategy, the dissemination of information has reached students, but it has not yet reached an increase in the number of students participating in the competition. This happened because of the apathy and indifference of students to student activities on campus. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that the strategy applied is more oriented towards the dissemination of information than increasing student participation. Therefore, there needs to be a strategic evaluation so that there is an interest in students to vote comprehensively and have an impact on the increased level of student participation.
