Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi pada materi persamaan reaksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2025/2026 di SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Experimental dan bentuk desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas X.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model CIRC dan kelas X.4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model 5M. Instrumen utama penelitian ini berupa angket keterampilan kolaborasi siswa yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U terhadap data gain. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai Exact Sig. (1-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata keterampilan kolaborasi kelas yang menerapkan model CIRC lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas yang menerapkan model 5M. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan CIRC berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa pada materi persamaan reaksi. ***** This study aimed to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model on students' collaboration skills in the topic of chemical equations. The study was conducted during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at SMA Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. This research employed a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in class X.3 as the experimental group, which was taught using the CIRC model, and class X.4 as the control group, which was taught using the 5M learning model. The primary research instrument was a collaboration skills questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test on the gain scores. The results showed an Exact Sig. (1-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. The findings revealed that the mean collaboration skills of students in the class implementing the CIRC model were higher than those of students in the class implementing the 5M learning model. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the CIRC model had a significant effect on students' collaboration skills in the topic of chemical equations.
