Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran literasi sains siswa pada materi kimia hijau menggunakan model pembelajaran Group Investigation. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA di Kota Tangerang pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2025/2026 dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 34 siswa kelas X. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes literasi sains yang diadaptasi dari soal PISA 2025, observasi pembelajaran, wawancara, dan jurnal reflektif siswa pada setiap pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada level literasi sains Developing (berkembang) dan Emerging (baru muncul). Pada indikator menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah, sebagian besar siswa telah mampu menghubungkan konsep kimia hijau dengan fenomena kontekstual, meskipun penjelasan yang diberikan belum sepenuhnya didukung oleh konsep ilmiah yang utuh. Pada indikator mengevaluasi dan menginterpretasikan data serta bukti ilmiah, siswa telah mampu membaca informasi dari data yang disajikan, tetapi masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan beberapa sumber data untuk menarik kesimpulan yang tepat. Sementara itu, pada indikator mengevaluasi sumber informasi dan menggunakan bukti ilmiah untuk membuat keputusan, siswa mulai menunjukkan kemampuan mempertimbangkan informasi berdasarkan konsep sains, meskipun sebagian keputusan masih dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman pribadi dan belum didukung argumentasi ilmiah yang kuat. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation mendukung pengembangan literasi sains siswa melalui kegiatan penyelidikan, diskusi kelompok, dan penyajian hasil investigasi yang mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.*****This study aimed to describe students' scientific literacy profile on the topic of Green Chemistry through the implementation of the Group Investigation learning model. The study was conducted at a senior high school in Tangerang City during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, involving 34 tenth-grade students as the research participants. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through a scientific literacy test adapted from the PISA 2025 assessment, classroom observations, interviews, and students' reflective journals completed after each learning session. The findings revealed that most students were at the Developing and Emerging levels of scientific literacy. Regarding the indicator of explaining phenomena scientifically, most students were able to relate Green Chemistry concepts to contextual phenomena, although their explanations were not yet fully supported by comprehensive scientific concepts. For the indicator of evaluating and interpreting scientific data and evidence, students were generally able to extract information from the presented data but still experienced difficulties in integrating multiple sources of data to draw appropriate conclusions. Meanwhile, for the indicator of evaluating information sources and using scientific evidence to make decisions, students demonstrated an emerging ability to consider information based on scientific concepts; however, many of their decisions were still influenced by personal experiences and were not consistently supported by strong scientific arguments. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Group Investigation learning model supported the development of students' scientific literacy through investigation activities, collaborative group discussions, and presentations of investigation results, which encouraged active student engagement throughout the learning process.
