Abstract

Penelitian ini ber tujuan untuk mengenai pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) berbagi inkuiri terhadap hasil belajarr sisa pada materi Hukum Dasar Kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quantitative dengan metode quasi experiment dan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian melibatkan dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model PLTL berbasis inkuiri dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model inkuiri terbimbing. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda yang diberikan sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) perlakuan untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis dengan uji Wilcoxon dan Mann–Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,14 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 61,14. Peningkatan hasil belajar berdasarkan nilai N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,61 (kategori sedang), sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,48 (kategori sedang). Hasil uji Mann–Whitney U menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,021 (p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran PLTL berbasis inkuiri berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Hukum Dasar Kimia serta lebih efektif dibandingkan model inkuiri terbimbing / This study aimed to investigate the effect of implementing the inquiry-based Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) model on students' learning outcomes in the topic of Fundamental Laws of Chemistry. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest non-equivalent control group design. The study involved two classes, namely an experimental class that implemented the inquiry-based PLTL model and a control class that received guided inquiry instruction. The research instrument consisted of a multiple-choice test administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the treatment to assess students' cognitive learning outcomes. The collected data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, followed by non-parametric hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and the Mann–Whitney U Test. The results revealed that the experimental class achieved a higher mean posttest score (73.14) than the control class (61.14). Furthermore, the experimental class obtained an N-Gain score of 0.61 (moderate category), while the control class obtained an N-Gain score of 0.48 (moderate category). The Mann–Whitney U test yielded a significance value of 0.021 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. These findings demonstrate that the inquiry-based PLTL model significantly improves students' learning outcomes and is more effective than the guided inquiry model in enhancing students' conceptual understanding of the Fundamental Laws of Chemistry.
