Abstract

***** Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an urgent environmental health issue in the Administrative City of West Jakarta, evidenced by a high incidence of 3,647 cases throughout 2024. This study aims to analyze the spatial influence of air humidity on the distribution of DHF cases in the area during 2024. A quantitative descriptive method with a spatial ecological study design was employed, utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for hotspot mapping via the Getis-Ord Gi* algorithm, alongside spatial regression analysis (Spatial Error Model) using GeoDa software. The results indicate that while Cengkareng District recorded the highest absolute number of cases (770 incidents), the epicenter of the most concentrated transmission hotspot was actually located in Kembangan District. Spatial regression (SEM) results confirm that air humidity significantly influences the distribution of DHF cases (p-value = 0.00814), accompanied by a very strong spatial spillover effect (Lambda Coefficient = 0.927734) driven by spatial proximity between areas. In conclusion, DHF intervention and mitigation strategies in densely populated urban areas should focus more on the spatial density (hotspots) of local transmission rather than relying solely on case counts.
