Abstract
Ekosistem mangrove di pesisir utara Jawa Barat menghadapi tekanan konversi lahan yang intensif, terutama menjadi tambak dan permukiman, sehingga evaluasi kualitas habitat menjadi penting untuk mengukur efektivitas rehabilitasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan kualitas habitat mangrove secara spasial-temporal di sebelas kecamatan pesisir Kabupaten Indramayu tahun 2019 dan 2025 menggunakan model InVEST Habitat Quality. Metode yang digunakan meliputi klasifikasi tutupan lahan dari citra Sentinel-2 Level 2A dengan algoritma Random Forest pada platform Google Earth Engine, serta penentuan bobot ancaman melalui Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) berdasarkan penilaian lima ahli terhadap lima kelas ancaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan luas mangrove meningkat dari 1.252,90 ha (2019) menjadi 1.866,72 ha (2025), bertambah sebesar 613,82 ha. Namun, nilai rata-rata indeks kualitas habitat hanya naik dari 0,33 menjadi 0,35, sementara nilai maksimum melonjak dari 0,59 menjadi 0,79. Pada tahun 2025, kualitas masih didominasi kategori rendah (1.517,16 ha) dan sedang (346,45 ha), dengan kemunculan kategori tinggi seluas 3,11 ha di Kecamatan Pasekan. Ancaman utama berdasarkan bobot AHP adalah tambak (0,52), diikuti permukiman (0,21), sawah (0,11), lahan terbuka (0,10), dan perkebunan (0,07). Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan luasan mangrove tidak serta-merta diikuti peningkatan kualitas habitat, sehingga pendekatan evaluasi berbasis kualitas menjadi krusial untuk mendukung kebijakan konservasi dan tata ruang pesisir yang berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Indramayu. **** Mangrove ecosystems along the northern coast of West Java face intensive land conversion pressures, primarily into aquaculture ponds and settlements, making habitat quality assessment essential for evaluating rehabilitation effectiveness. This study analyzes the spatio-temporal changes in mangrove habitat quality across eleven coastal districts of Indramayu Regency 2019 and 2025 using the InVEST Habitat Quality model. The methodology involved land cover classification from Sentinel-2 Level 2A imagery using the Random Forest algorithm on Google Earth Engine, and threat weighting through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) based on assessments by five experts on five threat classes. Results show mangrove area increased from 1,252.90 ha (2019) to 1,866.72 ha (2025), a net gain of 613.82 ha. However, the average habitat quality index rose only marginally from 0.33 to 0.35, while the maximum value increased from 0.59 to 0.79. In 2025, quality remained dominated by the low (1,517.16 ha) and medium (346.45 ha) classes, with a very small emergence of high-quality habitat covering 3.11 ha in Pasekan District. The main threats based on AHP weights were aquaculture ponds (0.52), followed by settlements (0.21), rice fields (0.11), bare land (0.10), and plantations (0.07). This study confirms that an increase in mangrove area does not automatically translate to improved habitat quality, underscoring the importance of quality-based evaluation for sustainable coastal conservation and spatial planning policy in Indramayu Regency.
