Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh Conceptual Change Model (CCM) terhadap reduksi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hidrokarbon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling yang melibatkan 75 siswa kelas XI dari dua kelas di SMAN 11 Jakarta pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan CCM, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran teacher-centered. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik four-tier sebanyak 20 butir soal untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep dan miskonsepsi siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji prasyarat, dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan reduksi miskonsepsi yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Reduksi miskonsepsi pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan CCM memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap reduksi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hidrokarbon. ***** This study aims to examine the effect of the Conceptual Change Model (CCM) on reducing students’ misconceptions on hydrocarbon material. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, involving 75 eleventh-grade students from two classes at SMAN 11 Jakarta during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The experimental class used the CCM, while the control class used teacher-centered instruction. The instrument used was a four-tier diagnostic test consisting of 20 items to identify students’ conceptual understanding and misconceptions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, assumption tests, and an independent-samples t-test. The results showed a significant difference in the reduction of misconceptions between the experimental and control classes. The reduction in misconceptions in the experimental class was higher than that in the control class. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of CCM had a significant effect on the reduction of students’ misconceptions in hydrocarbon material.
