Abstract
***** Kheisya Nabillah Handayani, The Effect of Bank Liquidity (Cash Ratio) and Third-Party Funds on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Credit Distribution at Banks Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the Period 2020-2025, Undergraduate Thesis Jakarta: Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2026. This study aims to analyze the effect of Cash Ratio and Third-Party Funds on MSME credit distribution, with Non-Performing Loan (NPL) as a control variable. A quantitative approach is used with secondary data from quarterly financial statements of 24 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (4 state-owned and 20 national private banks) for the 2020-2025 period, totaling 576 observations, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model corrected with Driscoll-Kraay standard errors, compared across three models: state-owned banks, national private banks, and the combined sample. The results show that Cash Ratio has no significant effect on MSME credit distribution in any of the three models. Third-Party Funds also has no significant effect for state-owned banks, but has a significant negative effect for national private banks and the combined model. NPL has no significant effect across all models. These findings indicate that MSME credit distribution is more strongly influenced by bank ownership characteristics and business orientation than by short-term liquidity conditions or credit quality, which is consistent with the Financial Intermediation Theory, suggesting that banks' intermediary function in channeling credit is influenced not only by their ability to mobilize funds and maintain liquidity, but also by their ownership characteristics and business policies. Keywords: cash ratio, third-party funds, non-performing loan, MSME credit distribution, fixed effect model, Driscoll-Kraay
