Abstract
Proses peminjaman, pengembalian, dan pengawasan buku di perpustakaan membutuhkan sistem yang lebih tertata agar data dapat dicatat dengan cepat, akurat, dan terintegrasi. Beberapa proses layanan perpustakaan masih bergantung pada pencatatan dan pengawasan pustakawan, serta belum dilengkapi verifikasi akses keluar berbasis RFID dan notifikasi digital kepada pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat prototipe sistem manajemen peminjaman buku berbasis Internet of Things menggunakan gate RFID untuk mendukung digitalisasi layanan perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah rekayasa teknik dengan tahapan observasi, analisis kebutuhan, perancangan perangkat keras, perancangan perangkat lunak, pembuatan prototipe, integrasi sistem, dan pengujian. Sistem terdiri dari website pustakawan berbasis React JS, backend Laravel 12, database MySQL, ESP32, dua RFID reader RC522, LCD I2C, LED, buzzer, servo gate, dan Fonnte API sebagai layanan notifikasi WhatsApp. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan website pustakawan dan database dapat memproses data anggota, buku, peminjaman, pengembalian, denda, laporan, dan pengaturan sistem. Pengujian pembacaan RFID memperoleh keberhasilan 100% pada lima jenis media RFID dengan rata-rata waktu pembacaan tercepat 0,40 detik dan jarak pembacaan terjauh 3,5 cm pada kartu RFID. Pengujian validasi gate keluar dan notifikasi WhatsApp juga memperoleh keberhasilan 100%. Dengan demikian, prototipe yang dibuat dapat digunakan untuk membantu proses peminjaman, pengembalian, notifikasi, dan validasi akses keluar secara terintegrasi. Based on the initial observation at the Library of Universitas Negeri Jakarta, the service process still depended on librarian recording and monitoring, and had not been supported by RFID-based exit access validation and digital notifications for users. This research aims to create an Internet of Things-based book borrowing management prototype using an RFID gate to support library service digitalization. The method used is engineering design, consisting of observation, system requirement analysis, hardware design, software design, prototype creation, system integration, and testing. The system consists of a React JS-based librarian website, Laravel 12 backend, MySQL database, ESP32, two RC522 RFID readers, I2C LCD, LED, buzzer, gate servo, and Fonnte API as the WhatsApp notification service. The testing results show that the librarian website and database can process member data, book data, borrowing, returning, fines, reports, and system settings. RFID reading tests achieved a 100% success rate on five RFID media types, with the fastest average reading time of 0.40 seconds and The maximum reading distance of the RFID card was 3.5 cm on RFID cards. The exit gate validation and WhatsApp notification tests also achieved a 100% success rate. Therefore, the prototype can be used to support book borrowing, returning, notification, and exit access validation processes in an integrated system.
