Abstract
Kata kunci: intolerance of uncertainty, rumination, kecemasan karier, mahasiswa bekerja ***** Working students face various uncertainties related to their future careers, such as increasingly intense job competition and unclear employment opportunities after graduation, which may lead to career anxiety. This study aimed to examine the influence of intolerance of uncertainty and rumination on career anxiety among working students. This research employed a quantitative correlational approach. The participants were 251 active diploma and undergraduate students (S1/D4/D3) in Indonesia who were currently working part-time or undertaking internships. Data were collected using the Indonesian adaptations of the Career Anxiety Scale, the Intolerance of Uncertainty Short Version 12-item (IUS-12), and the Ruminative Responses Scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that intolerance of uncertainty and rumination simultaneously had a positive and significant influence on career anxiety among working students, contributing 13.6% of the variance. However, partial analysis revealed that only intolerance of uncertainty had a positive and significant influence on career anxiety, whereas rumination did not show a significant influence. These findings suggest that difficulties in tolerating uncertainty play an important role in increasing career anxiety among working students. Keywords: intolerance of uncertainty, rumination, career anxiety, working students
