Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa antara yang menggunakan LKPD STEAM-PjBL dan yang menggunakan LKPD ekspositori, serta mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan LKPD STEAM–PjBL terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi induksi elektromagnetik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pretest Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 72 siswa yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol tanpa randomisasi. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan LKPD STEAM-PjBL, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan LKPD ekspositori. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan proses sains yang diberikan dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 58,47 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 62,78, sedangkan rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 90,14 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 87,64. Nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,679 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,657 yang keduanya berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,172 (> 0,05), sehingga tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Nilai effect size sebesar 0,161 termasuk dalam kategori kecil. Dengan demikian, penggunaan LKPD STEAM-PjBL belum memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa, meskipun secara deskriptif menunjukkan pengaruh yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. ***** This study aims to determine the differences in students’ science process skills between those using STEAM-PjBL worksheets and those using expository worksheets, as well as to examine the effect of using STEAM-PjBL worksheets on students’ science process skills in the topic of electromagnetic induction. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects comprised 72 pupils divided into experimental and control groups without randomisation. The experimental group used the STEAM-PjBL worksheets, whilst the control group used expository worksheets. The research instrument consisted of a science process skills test administered as a pre-test and a post-test. The results showed that the average pre-test score for the experimental group was 58.47 and for the control group 62.78, whilst the average post-test score for the experimental group was 90.14 and for the control group 87.64. The N-Gain value for the experimental group was 0.679 and for the control group 0.657, both of which fell into the moderate category. The results of the Mann-Whitney test showed a p-value of 0.172 (> 0.05), indicating that there was no significant difference between the two groups. The effect size of 0.161 falls within the small category. Consequently, the use of the STEAM-PjBL worksheets has not yet had a significant effect on pupils’ science process skills, although descriptively it shows a higher effect compared to the control class.
