Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki murid di abad ke-21, tetapi kemampuan tersebut masih tergolong rendah, khususnya pada materi sistem ekskresi yang bersifat kompleks karena struktur organ di dalamnya sulit divisualisasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) berbantuan media Augmented Reality (AR) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis murid pada materi sistem ekskresi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji ANCOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis murid di kelas eksperimen meningkat lebih tinggi dibandingkan murid di kelas kontrol, dengan pengaruh yang signifikan dan efek perlakuan yang tergolong besar. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran POE berbantuan media AR berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis murid pada materi sistem ekskresi. Sehingga model POE berbantuan media AR dapat menjadi alternatif bagi guru dalam menciptakan pembelajaran inovatif, khususnya pada materi biologi yang objek kajiannya sulit divisualisasikan secara langsung. Namun, penerapannya mensyaratkan ketersediaan telepon pintar serta izin sekolah untuk menggunakannya dalam pembelajaran, sehingga penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk menguji penerapannya pada kondisi sekolah yang lebih beragam. Kata Kunci: Augmented Reality, Berpikir Kritis, Model POE, Sistem Ekskresi/ ABSTRACT Critical thinking skills are important skills that students must have in the 21st century, but these skills are still relatively low, especially in the material of the excretory system which is complex because the structure of the organs in it is difficult to visualize. This study aims to determine the effect of the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) media on students' critical thinking skills on excretory system material. The research method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach using a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was determined through a simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is the ANCOVA test. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class increased higher than those in the control class, with a significant influence and a relatively large treatment effect. Thus, it can be concluded that the AR media-assisted POE learning model affects students' critical thinking skills on excretory system material. So that the AR media-assisted POE model can be an alternative for teachers in creating innovative learning, especially in biology materials whose study objects are difficult to visualize directly. However, its implementation requires the availability of smartphones as well as school permission to use them in learning, so further research is needed to test its application in more diverse school conditions.
