Abstract
Proses distilasi minyak atsiri memerlukan sistem monitoring dan kontrolyang baik agar proses pemanasan dapat berjalan secara stabil, aman, dan efisien.Pada proses distilasi konvensional, monitoring temperatur, konsumsi energi listrik,dan level cairan dan data log masih dilakukan secaramanual sehingga berpotensimenyebabkan ketidakstabilan proses pemanasan dan kerusakan pada sistempemanas. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dirancang sistem monitoring dan kontrol proses distilasi minyak atsiri menggunakan pemanas listrik berbasis ESP32.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem monitoring dan kontrol proses distilasi berbasis ESP32 yang terintegrasi dengan sensorsuhu, sensor energi listrik,data log, dan sensor level cairan, mengimplementasikan sistem tersebut pada alat distilasi berdasarkan rancangan yang telah dibuat.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) dengan tahapan pengumpulan data,perancangan sistem, pengembangan alat, serta pengujian sistem. Sistem dirancang menggunakan ESP32 sebagai pusat pengendali utama yang terhubung dengan sensor thermocouple MAX6675 untuk monitoring temperatur, sensor PZEM-004T untuk monitoring energi listrik, dan float switch untuk mendeteksi level cairan pada boiler. Selain itu, sistem juga menggunakan relay sebagai pengontrol heater, buzzer sebagai alarm sistem, dan LCD I2C sebagai media monitoring secara real-time. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem monitoring dan kontrol yang dirancang mampu membaca temperatur boiler, parameter energi listrik, dan kondisi level cairan secara real-time. Sistem pengaman menggunakan float switch dan relay juga mampu memutus kerja heater ketika level cairan berada pada kondisi minimum sehingga dapat meningkatkan keamanan selama proses distilasi berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, sistem monitoring dan kontrol distilasi minyak atsiri berbasis ESP32 dapat bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan fungsi yang telah dirancang serta mampu membantu proses monitoring dan pengendalian sistem distilasi secara lebih efektif dan efisien. ***** The essential oil distillation process requires a proper monitoring andcontrol system so that the heating process can run stably, safely, and efficiently. In conventional distillation processes, monitoring of temperature, electrical energy consumption, liquid level, and data logging is still carried out manually, which potentially causes instability in the heating process and damage to the heating system. Therefore, this research designs a monitoring and control system for the essential oil distillation process using an ESP32-based electric heater. This research aims to design an ESP32-based monitoring and control system integrated with temperature sensors, electrical energy sensors, data logging, and liquid level sensors; to implement the system on the distillation apparatus based on the design that has been made; and to analyze the performance of the system based on the monitoring results of temperature, electrical parameters, and liquid level during the distillation process. This research employs the research and development (R&D) method, comprising the stages of data collection, system design, tool development, and system testing. The system is designed using an ESP32 as the main controller, connected to a MAX6675 thermocouple sensor for temperature monitoring, a PZEM-004T sensor for electrical energy monitoring, and a float switch for detecting the liquid level, equipped with a relay as the heater controller, a buzzer as the system alarm, and an I2C LCD as the real-time monitoring display. The results show that the designed monitoring and control system is able to read the boiler temperature, electrical energy parameters, and liquid level conditions in real time, and is able to cut off the heater's operation through the float switch and relay when the liquid level reaches its minimum condition, thereby improving safety during the distillation process. The system is able to function properly according to its designed purpose and helps make the distillation monitoring and control process more effective and efficient
