Abstract
***** This study aimed to examine the effect of financial satisfaction on financial anxiety among working generation Z individuals residing in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). The study employed a quantitative approach using an convenience sampling technique involving 162 working generation Z participants living in Jabodetabek. Data were collected using the Financial Anxiety Scale (FAS) to measure financial anxiety and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Financial Well-Being Scale (CFPB-FWB) to measure financial satisfaction. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The results indicated that financial satisfaction had a significant negative effect on financial anxiety (β = -0.609; p < 0.001). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.367 showed that financial satisfaction accounted for 36.70% of the financial anxiety, while the remaining 63.30% was explained by other factors not examined in this study. These findings suggest that higher levels of financial satisfaction are associated with lower levels of financial anxiety. The results highlight the importance of financial satisfaction as a psychological factor that contributes to reducing financial anxiety among working generation Z individuals.
