Abstract
PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang pelayaran dimana proses operasionalnya menggunakan Microsoft Excel sebagai pencatatan kegiatan sehingga menyebabkan data belum terintegrasi pada setiap divisi dan belum tersedianya visualisasi pada informasi guna mendukung pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang Shipping Operation Monitoring Dashboard yang mampu mengintegrasikan data operasional lintas divisi sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna menggunakan pendekatan user centered design dan software Power BI. Pendekatan user centered design diterapkan untuk memahami masalah dan analisis kebutuhan pengguna terkait desain yang dirancang. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengembangan sistem adalah waterfall dengan tahapan analisis, desain, implementasi, uji coba dan validasi, serta perbaikan sistem. Hasil perancangan yang dilakukan mampu menghasilkan empat halaman utama, yaitu Shipment Record Dashboard, Shipping Cost Operation Summary Dashboard, Vessel Utilization Dashboard, dan Shipping Tracking Record Dashboard. Pengujian fungsional dengan black box besting oleh kepala divisi fleet, sales, dan administration menunjukkan seluruh fungsi dashboard berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Selanjutnya, pengujian dengan system usability scale (SUS) menujukkan bahwa dashboard monitoring yang dirancang masuk kedalam kategori acceptable berdasarkan pengalaman seluruh pengguna divisi yang terdiri dari enam responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dashboard yang dirancang berhasil mengintegrasikan data operasional dalam satu sistem visual yang interaktif, mempercepat proses monitoring, mempermudah analisis data lintas divisi, serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang lebih cepat dan berbasis data pada kegiatan operasional pelayaran di PT XYZ. ***** PT XYZ is a company engaged in the shipping industry, where its operational processes rely on Microsoft Excel for recording activities. As a result, data across divisions remains unintegrated, and there is a lack of visualizations to support decision-making. This study aims to design a Shipping Operation Monitoring Dashboard capable of integrating cross-divisional operational data according to user needs, using a user-centered design approach and Power BI software. A user-centered design approach was applied to understand the problems and analyze user needs regarding the proposed design. The waterfall method was used for system development, comprising the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing and validation, and system refinement. The design resulted in four main pages: the Shipment Record Dashboard, the Shipping Cost Operation Summary Dashboard, the Vessel Utilization Dashboard, and the Shipping Tracking Record Dashboard. Functional testing using black-box testing conducted by the heads of the fleet, sales, and administration divisions showed that all dashboard functions operated in accordance with user needs. Furthermore, testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) indicated that the designed monitoring dashboard fell into the “acceptable” category based on the experience of all division users, consisting of six respondents. The research findings show that the designed dashboard successfully integrates operational data into a single interactive visual system, streamlines the monitoring process, facilitates cross-departmental data analysis, and supports faster, data-driven decision-making regarding shipping operations at PT XYZ.
