Abstract

***** This study aims to examine the relationship between self regulated learning and academic burnout among working students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a non probability sampling technique. The participants of this study consisted of 403 working students who were currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were the Maslach Burnout Inventory–Student Survey (MBI-SS) and the Academic Volitional Strategy Inventory (AVSI). The results of the study indicated that there was a significant negative relationship between self regulated learning and academic burnout among working students. This means that the higher the level of self regulated learning possessed by working students, the lower their level of academic burnout. Conversely, the lower the level of self regulated learning possessed by working students, the higher their level of academic burnout.
